Yeah, living in Ohio made me wish for the days of the used-car salesman when it came to election ads. Though it was interesting to see how tight of a ship the Democrats ran, for a change. Where I lived, they rented out a storefront. Turns out they just kept it for four years so they were ready to go again, though they used it for midterm elections and other things like the governor's race. (Side note: Marc Dann torpedoed the Strickland administration, so I think they should have just primaried him.)
Considering how purple Ohio can be, I wonder what tipped it to Obama. The auto bailout is a big possibility, given the plants there.

I just read an E-mail from my dad where he went on about how bad things are going to be with Obama reelected. That's fine and all, but near the end of that paragraph, he suggested that Obama is a Muslim... I've always thought of my dad as a level-headed, reasonable man, so that Muslim comment was a shocker. I just ignored the entire election issue and responded to the other stuff he talked about.
The state in human form who would have held up a line at the movie theater have finally made up its mind. Obama now won the state by a slim margin.
