For instance when watching kill cams the DMR seems to never hit me yet I die anyway, or a sniper bullet leaving the gun at a 45 degree angle and killing me even though they shot straight ahead. It might just be my connection or some serious lag between systems but I've been seeing a lot of this recently.

Sorry meant to say "dying" in that first sentence there, gotta love finding crucial spelling mistakes right after hitting post.

*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* (YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!)

Campaign (so far)- Kinda slow, cortanas existence is at stake but I haven't dwelled deep enough into the story to care yet.

Multiplayer- Pretty fun, kinda dislike the fact that they took away the ability to pick up grenades off the floor without a perk but the other perks make up for it. I don't mind or neccesarily care about the Cod elements they just feel like they're there.

Just about SR30... daily online XP limit reached. I was at school all day. Come home to play pretty much nonstop from 4 - 11 with double XP and I get this. I guess its reasonable, but just... dumb.

Beat it once on heroic, on the last level on legendary. About 36 out of 49 on achievements right now. Beat all the missions on episode 1 for spartan ops on legendary. I had more difficulty my first time through but legendary is turning out to be a breeze.

On multiplayer I had so much fun slaughtering people with new improved shitty gauss cannon on the Warthog. Got a rampage to be precise, not even a fucking tank could kill us. Point system scares me some what but I can live with it. I dislike the looks and sounds of the Warthog. I was pissed when Reach made it overheat but now it sounds like a 2 stroke piece of shit and has gas cans for a vehicle that probably runs on hydrogen! Turret is the worst with even less shielding then ever before. Disappointment...

Forward Unto Dawn looks weird to me, Master Chief... eh?

Grifball is going to be the shit when they bring it out. The addition of an actual pass system will completely change the game in a good way.

A lot of people are saying that the Hardlight Shield/Aegis sucks. I say, you are wrong sirs/mams. It really has it's uses and while you would think hearing the word shield makes you think "Defense," when in all actuality it is just as good an offensive tool.

Being able to distract opponents for your other teammates to clean them up or to bring enemies out of hiding assuming they shoot the shield and to be able to push up the front lines just by walking forward with it, (You'll find that people generally backstep to a shield-rusher) this tool is something more than just saving your ass from an incoming rocket.

I think that this is a good tool that excels in offense/defense and team-support gameplay during objective games. Just my 2 cents on the shield. I'm mastering it as we speak.

Keep the faith.

The shield is a very good powerskill, people are just disappointed that it isn't as overpowered as armor lock was.

Since there are so many good games coming out at towards the end of this year, this is one of the ones I'll have to wish for this Christmas. Looks like an amazing game based on the videos I've been watching!

I underestimated the shield. The thing is a life saver and it can make an excellent distraction while another one of your buddies obliterates 3 enemies with a mech.

Not the souls, their actual bodies. It turns humans into machines and the process cannot be reversed. The intent was to use the robots to fight off the Flood, but it was seen as too brutal and thus the Halo Array was used instead.

really worried about the multiplayer changes even though i've yet to purchase. i really liked the br battles, team synchronization, 1 on 1 tactics, having to move around the map to be useful etc, things that made halo 3 so enjoyable.

if they've made it into one of those shitty games where all you need for a kill is to spot the enemy before they see you or where one guy can carry a whole team as long as they're not complete shit then i'll be very disappointed, absolutely sick of CoD mechanics.

Yeah, but they're implemented differently.

Do you just hate any game that borrows one or two things from CoD?

I use to like the carbine, but then I realized it stressed me out a bit more because you squeeze the trigger a lot more compared to the dmr or br. I wasn't consistent on getting head shots with it.

DMR is my go to weapon because it has more precision (duh) and it's just amazing on an open map like ragnorok (sp?). I need to get use to the battle rifle's spread though.

Oh and I just sold my fotus armor for $170. Damn, people really are stupid.

I feel like the BR is the noob weapon of the game, ridiculously easy to use and whatnot. I like the carbine over the DMR because of its speed and clip size though. there's many situations where I've gotten multi-kills after a grenade much faster than I would have gotten them if I were using a DMR.

The BR takes precision even at close range. If you don't land all your headshots theirs a chance you could die first.

Uh, yeah. If they didn't change the pacing, then why are kills so much quicker than in previous Halo games?

- killstreak rewards (like Call of Duty)
Once again, no. There aren't any killstreaks.

You get X number of points; the game rewards you. Only difference here is

- tactical package and support upgrade (like Call of Duty's perks)
Yeah, but they're implemented differently.

Marginally. The basic idea (tactical and passive upgrades) is exactly the same, and many of the upgrades themselves are 'borrowed' from Call of Duty.

Do you just hate any game that borrows one or two things from CoD?

If that game was previously not CoD, then yes I do. Halo is Halo, and if it starts copying CoD, then it loses its identity and becomes "just another CoD multiplayer game" - only it's a CoD game painted up to look like Sci-Fi.

Admittedly Halo's multiplayer gameplay was in need of a bit of an update -- but why did they take ideas from a game that has been stagnant for the past 5 years?
