It may not hurt your ears now, but it's gonna have shitty effects when your older. It's predicted that this generation is gonna have a shitload of people who lose their hearing.

Music sounds much better when played loudly.

Because some people can feel music, and the louder it is, the more vividly you can feel it

I listen to music on my earphones carefully, always at a safe volume.

However I do listen to music on my speakers very loudly, this is because the more volume the more detail in the song you can experience.

I play it as loudly as it will go, and that isn't even enough sometimes

Most music sounds better loud. I also like a few things to be down low sometimes. You want the music to engulf you and recreate the aural experience of live music but better without all the annoying people.

No, the bass doesnt have to be loud to work in dubstep. In fact, its only in brostep like skrillex where it is, which you cant even call dubstep since it doesnt have a dub bass.

Quiet isnt it? Of course, the bass doers get louder, but not in insanely stupid ways like in brostep.

Well I don't have any neighbours, but when I'm around people I am incredibly sensitive to it, and never let it force people to raise their voices if there's some chatter.

I play my music loud, but not so loud that it will disturb others.
I hate people who blast their shitty music so that everyone else has to hear it.

Good stuff BumFodder. I'm not really a fan of Dubstep but I enjoyed Coki's Sound Boy and I'm actually looking at his other stuff as well.

Real good stuff and opened my mind to how expansive the Dubstep genre is; besides all the overwhelming garbage that's out there.

Ugh, I learned this shit the hard way. When I first got an iPod, I didn't exactly understand the definition of "volume control" (No, I don't mean that I was so stupid I didn't know what it actually meant, I mean that I didn't ever use it. Ever.). Now I'm 17 and already can't hear shit; I have to have people repeat things 3-4 times when they're sitting right near me. Bad idea, kiddies!

I too am usually annoyed about people blasting their music at a ridiculous volume when they're in their room. I mean, surely you don't have to play it so loud? You're in a tiny fucking room. However, some music is better when playing really loud, so you can really hear the underlying notes. That's why I use headphones, for that brilliant surround sound vibe, plus it doesn't bother anyone.

doesnt it hurt your ears?

Naaaaaah... ... .... Not much.

You should sue Apple. And if they try to argument against you in court, just reply "Sorry, can't hear you. Because, you know, the iPod."

Yeah there are actually quite a lot of good dubstep artists, the stuff people call dubstep these days is usually too high pitched to be dubstep, plus it sucks too. Another couple of artists are icicle who does cool instrumental ones and some drum and bass too, and SBTRKT.

It worked. What're you gonna do about it?

If I'm listening to music loudly on headphones, then it's doubling up as white noise. I don't want to have to listen to your mouth-breathing or litany of queefs, or your cries of distress as you get mugged behind me. Any of that inane shit.

If I'm listening to music loudly on a speaker, then it's because I hate you and I want to share my avant-grade music of me making out with the microphone.

I personally don't play music very loud. Maybe it overwhelms their senses? Maybe the loudness along with the beat wakes something inside of them? Who knows really. I guess it's beneficial if you want to try and hear everything but having it too loud would make it nearly impossible since everything could be blended in if it gets too loud.

Fleshgod Apocalypse- The Violation

Fleshgod is actually one of my favourite bands. I've been a fan since I discovered their first album Oracles and I love the style they perform/play in and was fortunate enough to see them live with Skeletonwitch earlier in the year. I don't need to listen to it loud to enjoy Fleshgod or similar bands out there.

I have several reasons. First I'm a metal head so I always listen to rock and metal plus a little dubstep. Songs like that can't be listened to on low volume, it just doesn't work. In fact I can't listen to any metal song without a speaker that has decent bass. It's like if you listen to a song with heavy drumming on your cellphone, it will just sound like clicks. So yeah, you need to have it loud so you can feel the bass of the drum and guitar, and then also be able to hear the singing. It's just the way the music is designed to be listened to.

And the second thing is that I'm partially deaf with 2 hearing aids, so naturally I always have music louder :D

The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug.
