What i need to get started?

I was thinking of trying to get into stick animation some what close to xiao xiao, but i still need something more to make it so. here is a sample i made. please look at it and tell me what you think.

uh pivot?

well you'll want a better program like flash or toon boom.

the way of the tweened sticks are over. it's all brush FbF now. you'll want to get a decent tablet (~$40) so you have good control of your strokes.

check out the flash CS6 trial and there's a lot of tutorials out there, even on youtube

its a pretty decent animation
ill say you should buy a tablet first for better strokes
learn the basics from youtube(which i guess you already know)
and buy latest adobe flash if you want to

Actually this animation is terrible, trust me I've worked with pivot for a lond time.

take it easy, the guy obviously just started and doesn't even know what software to use yet.

i'd say don't even bother sticking with pivot or you'll find yourself limited and frustrated when you want to do more
