Whoa a new member! Welcome to the club Ross.
Thanks! Thread doesn't look too active but I'm still a staunch supporter of grunge so it doesn't matter to me

Welcome to the grunge club
I agree that there may be things like, alternative rock, punk rock, heavy metal, glam rock, rock n roll, classic rock and pop rock. It is grunge I'll choose every time

Grunge Bands: Soundgarden, Nirvana, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Mother Love Bone, Mad Season, Bush, Filter, Seven Mary Three, Days of the New, Marcy Playground, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Silverchair, Sublime, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More and many others I can't think of at the moment.
Great choices!! Mother Love Bone is a way underrated band :) Mad Season as well

As sad as Wood's death was I'm glad it gave way to possibly my favorite album of all time, which is Temple of the Dog

Out of the bands you listed these are Grunge and Post-Grunge
Marcy Playground, The Offspring, Sublime, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More and many others I can't think of at the moment.
Marcy Playground and Jane's Addiction are Alternative Rock. Sublime are Ska Punk, Offspring are Pop Punk, and Faith No More are Funk Metal.
Yeah I did take a few liberties with putting those in the grunge category but for me they have a pretty close resemblance so I threw them in there.

Ah it's fine. They were all around in relatively the same time period.

I know! I'm so torn with these bands. I wish I could see Green River live...but then there would be no Mudhoney or Mother Love Bone. I wish I could see Mother Love Bone, but there would be no Pearl Jam or Temple of the Dog. I wish I could see the Gits, but Mia Zapata is dead, and 7 year bitch broke up. I wanna see Hole and Babes in Toyland also but...damn. I wish I was born in the 70's so I'd be around to see all those bands...disappointment.

Yeah but if you were born in the 70s you would have to wait for the next album, but here you can listen to all of them
Yeah I was definitely born at the wrong time, I just wish I could have spent more time growing up in the '90's

I was born in 88......trust me the 90s were not that great

'93 for me. The 90's were the vast majority of my childhood. So I remember them quite fondly.
Jerry Cantrell says he wants to collaborate with Chris Cornell!
I really hope it happens :) As far as I know, it has only happened once.
We need more of this: (or something as awesome)

It'd be nice if there were a full on reunion for Alice Mudgarden. As in like recording an album and touring and all that.
Granted that'd just be Alice In Chains with Mark Arm and Chris Cornell. But it'd still be interesting.

A man can dream
This song was released a little while ago, but the music video for it is new.
Ummmmm A little saddened by the lack of Courtney Love singing...but hey. At least it gave me something new to listen to.

At least before ’96 radio stations played more varied music. (I was born in ’97.)

Guys...It's March 10th. Let's go see Citizen dick~ citizen dickのコンサートに行きましょう
This thread isn't very active, but have any of you seen the movie Singles? It's a cameron crowe movie. A romantic comedy with cameos by Pearl Jam(minus Mike McCready or whatever drummer they had at the time), Alice in Chains, Tad Doyle, and Chris Cornell. The soundtrack is amazing.

So apparently Chad Channing is not being inducted with Nirvana into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Which is a load of bullshit.

Yea I read that >:( Pissed me off. He played on Bleach and a couple songs on Incesticide, so he should DEFINITELY be inducted as well :(

Did the RRHOF even give a reason as to why they aren't inducting him? Because he is clearly more eligible than Dave is.

Not that I know of :< I wonder if the RRHOF is going to do the same thing with Dave abbruzzese from Pearl Jam (played drums on VS. and Vitalogy), and Hiro Yamamoto from soundgarden (played bass on screaming life, fopp, ultramega ok, and louder than love). I believe Soundgarden is up for the RRHOF nest year.

Who knows (for both of those). They'll probably go with the "classic line-up" for both like they're doing with Nirvana. And like they'll more than likely do with Alice In Chains and totally exclude either Mike Starr or Mike Inez and William Duvall.
Also, Soundgarden have been up for induction since 2012. It goes off of either their first album OR first Single. And their first single came out in '87. It's why Nirvana are being inducted this year instead of next year. They were up for induction in 2013 because of the Love Buzz single which came out in '88.

I hope Mike Starr get's the recognition he deserves, But I'd still love to see Mike Inez up there. :( As for William Duvall...He's an amazing singer but the chances of the RRHOF inducting him is slim :(

Totally forgot about that :o I own Screaming Life xD
