Gamer Grub

[ZJ]

Have any of you guys heard about or tried this Gamer Grub stuff? I bought it on a whim at my local game store recently and didn't think it was so great. Plus, while it promises no grease on your hands while you play, it did get powder on mine which could still mess with my controllers.

What do you guys think about it? Have you even heard about it?

I've heard tons of good things about it. But I've never been able to try it due to living in Denmark.

Or you could just take a small break from the game and eat normal food that isn't absurdly overpriced.

Looks a bit too flashy and bold. I imagine they're not cheap, either. I suppose no greasey fingers could be a selling point, although a hungry gamer could just pause the damn game and go make a sandwich instead.

Never mind playing online on an empty stomach.

I've never heard of it, and from what it sounds like, I wouldn't care much for it anyway. Taking a break from a game if I'm hungry works just fine for me.

It was alright. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't like I ate some of it and decided to abandon Doritos and Cheez-Its.

I don't get what is it that makes people want to eat while to play video games? I don't it, and not because I afraid of getting grease or anything on my controller but because while I'm playing a game I will think about eating. Hell sometimes I try to drink coffee while I play and find it gone cold.

Sometimes if a game is slower paced like Civilization you can easily eat while playing. Me and my friends chow down on pizza in the middle of playing Halo without too much hassle. This takes years of mastery though.

I wasn't talking so much about multi tasking as I was talking about actually even being able to think about the food/drink you have. Maybe I just get too immersed while I play games.

I can't really say that I have heard of Gamer Grub before. The cynic in me says that this is just a cheap marketing trick trying to appeal to the gaming demographic, but then again, Doritos and Mountain Dew have used the same tactic before with some success, so I guess they would try their hand with said demographic.

It might be worth a buy, but I'm not 100% on that.

I learned that sandwich-making "technique" from my dad when I was a kid: it's been my staple "go-to" sandwich in any emergency situation where I need to balance maximum deliciousness (and unhealthiness) with minimum prep time (and also unhealthiness). Say, in between matches on Halo: Reach or Battlefield 3. Or if there's a hurricane and I require sustenance. Or something of that ilk.

Hm, on further thought, one Crisp Sandwich might need two packets of Ready Salted nowadays. Walkers aren't as generous as they used to be :(

I think it's another gimmicked marketing strategy aimed at gamers because companies think the vast majority of gamers are complete tools who buy this shit to prove just how hardcore gamer they are.

Unfortunately they are right. Not a dig at you ZJ. Just giving my perception on their marketing.
