Charles Woods discusses his son Tyrone Woods
The father of one of the former Navy SEALs killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya says President Barack Obama wouldnâEUTMt even look him in the eye and Vice President Joe Biden was disrespectful during the ceremony when his sonâEUTMs body returned to America. He also says the White HouseâEUTMs story on the attack doesnâEUTMt pass the smell test.
Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods, called into âEUoeThe Glenn Beck ProgramâEU on TheBlazeTV Thursday and recounted his interactions with the president, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Biden at the ceremony for the Libya victims at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. He told host Glenn Beck that what they told him, coupled with new reports that indicate the Obama administration knew very good and well, almost immediately, that a terrorist attack was occurring in Benghazi, make him certain that the American people are not getting the whole truth.
Vice President Biden, as he has become known to do, reportedly made a wildly inappropriate comment to the father who had just lost his hero son.
Woods said Biden came over to his family and asked in a âEUoeloud and boisterousâEU voice, âEUoeDid your son always have balls the size of cue balls?âEU
âEUoeAre these the words of someone who is sorry?âEU said Woods.
The grieving father also described his brief encounter with President Obama during the ceremony for the Libya victims.
âEUoeWhen he finally came over to where we were, I could tell that he was rather conflicted, a person who was not at peace with himself,âEU Woods said. âEUoeShaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish. His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye, his eyes were over my shoulder.âEU
âEUoeI could tell that he was not sorry,âEU he added. âEUoeHe had no remorse.âEU
Beck said he wanted to give the president âEUoethe benefit of the doubt,âEU and asked Woods how he could be sure that Obama wasnâEUTMt just uncomfortable or nervous during their conversation. Woods said it was ObamaâEUTMs âEUoedemeanor.âEU
Hillary ClintonâEUTMs comments to Woods raise even more questions about the White HouseâEUTMs official story on the Benghazi attack, which has already been extremely inconsistent.
After apologizing for his loss, Woods said Clinton told him that the U.S. would âEUoemake sure that the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.âEU
Obviously, Clinton was referring to the anti-Muslim YouTube video that the Obama administration spent nearly two weeks blaming for the attack. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice, Clinton and the president himself all blamed the video at various points. Beck pointed out that the White House is now trying to claim that it has always considered terrorism as the cause of the attack.
âEUoeWhen she said that, I could tell that she was not telling me the truth,âEU Woods said about Clinton.
Woods proceeded to read the following statement, in honor of his son:
âEUoeI want to honor my son, Ty Woods, who responded to the cries for help and voluntarily sacrificed his life to protect the lives of other Americans. In the last few days it has become public knowledge that within minutes of the first bullet being fired the White House knew these heroes would be slaughtered if immediate air support was denied. Apparently, C-130s were ready to respond immediately. In less than an hour, the perimeters could have been secured and American lives could have been saved. After seven hours fighting numerically superior forces, my sonâEUTMs life was sacrificed because of the White HouseâEUTMs decision. This has nothing to do with politics, this has to do with integrity and honor. My son was a true American hero. We need more heroes today. My son showed moral courage. This is an opportunity for the person or persons who made the decision to sacrifice my sonâEUTMs life to stand up.âEU
Tears in his eyes, Beck told Woods that his son was not even there for security purposes but after hearing cries for help he voluntarily protected his fellow Americans, knowing his life would be put in danger. Beck called Tyrone Woods a âEUoeheroâEU multiple times throughout the show.
âEUoeI am sorry for your loss, and I know there are millions of Americans that are sorry for your loss,âEU Beck concluded.
...I was so heartbroken when I read this article about one of the four victims that perished in the aftermath of the Bengahzi attack on September 11th of this year 2012. My heart goes out to the families who's loved ones died during this incident.
Also, the link listed below gives more info as well as speculation about the events that occurred. I'm running out of characters for my post, so I'll post the link below:
Glenn Beck connects dots on Benghazi Attack
During his show on TheBlazeTV Wednesday night, Glenn Beck said President Barack Obama has âEUoecrossed a lineâEU concerning the âEUoeliesâEU about the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi on Sept. 11. In fact, he claims âEUoeBenghazi-gateâEU is âEUoeFast and Furious times 1,000.âEU
âEUoeI donâEUTMt think that we are going to have time to be able to get this out to the American people before the election, because the press is of no help,âEU Beck said. âEUoeYou need to try to listen and get your friends to listen next door because this isnâEUTMt about politics. This truly is about the future of the country because we are in grave, grave danger.âEU
Beck explained that America has had three major scandals in the White House: Former President Richard NixonâEUTMs Watergate, the Iran-Contra scandal with former President Ronald Reagan and former President Bill ClintonâEUTMs sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky.
But in those cases, âEUoeas the old catchphrase goes, When Clinton lied, no one died,âEU Beck said. In Benghazi, four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed in a horrific manner.
Speaking from the model Oval Office in his Dallas studio, the host said âEUoewhen youâEUTMre in this officeâEU every lie told matters.
âEUoe[President Obama] is putting American lives in danger and he doesnâEUTMt seem to care about the consequence of his own actions,âEU he added. âEUoeThe Libya story hasnâEUTMt passed the smell test with me from the beginning, but it keeps getting worse.âEU
...The article continues on, so please use the link to read the rest of it. This article horrified me, because I couldn't believe that our public officials would do something like this. Innocent American lives were lost in this attack, and NOTHING was done to help stop the events that unfolded.

I apologize for the double post, but as a side note, I apologize for some of the grammatical HTML errors within the topic. Those errors did not show upon the text entry box, but just simply appeared after it was submitted. I did a quick read for posting errors and noticed the whole mess of them in certain points in the article. Please use the links if they seem rather illegible.

He told Glenn Beck. The guy that was so nuts he got booted off of FOX News, the Mecca of intentionally dubious 'journalism'.
Could you not see the potential massive bias here?
On a separate note, I'll be happy when this election is over. The news will get back to only high levels of bias instead of appallingly extreme amounts of bias. The retards will have to try to believe the bullshit, instead of eating it up like sweet juicy candy.

So what you're telling me is that the Republican Party, after criticizing the admittedly zonky Cindy Sheehan for unloading on the Republicans over Iraq (and parlaying this into a run for Congress), has now found their own Cindy Sheehan to pump on conservative news networks?
Color me unsurprised. This guy and Cindy Sheehan should debate who is worse, the Bush Administration or the Obama Administration, both while clutching photos of their deceased children and using them as proxy tools for their own political agendas.

That said, I'm disappointed with the way the Bengazi Attack and Libyan Revolution has been handled by American Press.
Every Romney-skewed news corp has been launching assaults against the Obama Administration for details related to the events. Obama-skewed news corps have been sticking to the story of the YouTube video being used by an existing radical cell to provide cover for an attack which had been planned in advance. Everyone can see that isn't the entire story, and there was definitely a reason the Arab Spring boiled into anger against the US Embassy on 9/11.
The massacre in Bani Walid is being entirely ignored by American media, who are instead trying to pin election season blame
Also, Glenn Beck is a hack, it's common knowledge.
I'll keep that in mind. I had little prior knowledge of Glenn beck before I found this article. I just thought it was rather sad to hear about our citizens/soldiers who died in the attack.
So many media sources are so fucking biased that it's pathetic. Even major media outlets like fox or CNN have lost all their credibility when it comes to airing non biased political or civil issues, so I did take that into mind when searching on the story after I had heard about it.
As well, thank you for linking a more sufficient article. :)

The difference is that while Sheehan wanted an immediate retreat and withdrawal, blaming Bush for making her son do what he voluntarily signed up to do, this guy is upset because his son and others were apparently left out to dry by the military and the administration.
You don't need this guy to dislike the way the Benghazi incident was handled. I have less problem though with how Obama and others initally attributed it to the video than how Panetta can go before Congress and say that no reinforcements could be sent because no one had enough information and that it would have been irresponsible to put soldiers in harm's way. Within a half hour of the attack, the State Department knew about 20 armed men were attacking the post, which was staffed by about 30 Libyan guards. That should have been troubling enough. Meanwhile, if this article is to believed, CIA support operatives were denied permission to assist in defense (though they apparently later disobeyed orders and went anyway, the two ex-SEALS that died were part of the group). It seems to me that if the US had to wait to know more about the attack, it'd be a good idea to send in nearby CIA operatives trained in combat to assess the situation. This whole thing stinks and Panetta's remarks have in my mind made it even worse.

I agree, it was a failure of intelligence and the President bears responsibility for that. I don't know why you think I'm fighting you on that point.

Again, I agree, and I was skeptical of elevating Panetta to the position in the first place. This is one of those areas where the covert nature of Defense really prevents the kind of public investigation required. There are any number of foreign policy incidents over the past decade that would have been greatly improved had there been any authority to launch a public investigation.
First things first. On the ASSUMPTION that the State Department knew (and I know the e-mails you're referencing), even IF a group claimed responsibility, it isn't protocol of the intelligence community to immediately accept a claim of responsibility as genuine. These kinds of things require validation, and it's worth noting that the claims of responsibility came through social media channels - third party channels not directly associated with the group behind the attacks - so a bit of skepticism doesn't seem quite so insane in this case.
Also, how did I know that this link would not only be one referenced from FOX News, but also on the front page of the Drudge Report? I'm not going to say "oh, the article is biased so it's invalid," because I think we're adults and can discuss something even if it comes from a biased source, but Drudge really does rub me the wrong way a lot of the time. He has a knack for, how does one say, "over-hyping."
A few things jump out from this article:
- Every major descriptive point is attributed to "source," without even a mention of where in the intelligence community that source comes from. Not a disqualifying factor, but something to raise one's skepticism.
- The article itself says the United States had landed reinforcements in Benghazi by 2am, but were hindered by a lack of available transportation and cooperation from allied Libyans, who were running around in a general panic. So the initial argument that "no one was dispatched" just isn't true. They were. That the transportation infrastructure broke down is shameful, but it shows that the United States wasn't effectively sitting on its hands in Italy, as others have claimed.
- The article indicates but doesn't confirm (and one can speculate as to why) that American defensive forces arrived at the annex before the team including Woods was killed at 4am. The article points out that the American team as WAS delayed for 45 minutes at the airport, but arrived either before, with or shortly after the Libyan allied forces at 3am.
It seems to me that if the US had to wait to know more about the attack, it'd be a good idea to send in nearby CIA operatives trained in combat to assess the situation. This whole thing stinks and Panetta's remarks have in my mind made it even worse.
What the above shows is that no one was just sitting by. Things got chaotic, we started moving forces around, the CIA base had already begun ignoring direct orders from their superiors, and in general the chain of command was breaking down like, say, a place under siege. It's terrible, and the White House is certainly trying to downplay the strategic breakdown (as any White House would), but a grand conspiracy it is not.

Aaaand now more information has come out, rendering much of what I said moot and most of what my friend there said incorrect.
Per Jake Tapper The CIA just issued a statement saying nobody told CIA operatives not to help the individuals involved. More and more this is looking like a case of infrastructure breakdown leading to an unfortunate situation, not a premeditated plan not to help the individuals stuck at the embassy and the CIA annex.
CIA full statement, in response to what they called the 'inaccurate' FOX News story posted above:
âEUoeWe can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi. Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night-and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades.âEU
