Hey there political junkies. I was never really into politics until I began listening to Boy Sets Fire. I dont know if any one of you has ever heard of them, but they are sort of an underground hardcore band from Delaware. Their lyrics voice problems they see with our communities and government, and the way we live and act. They perform shows to expand their knowledge of our culture and world culture to everyone, so that we might be able to bring about some changes.
To tell you the truth, I'm not sure why I'm starting this post... I guess I want to know what people thing about Boy Sets Fire. In my opinion, they're not only my favorite band, but also my inside source for truthful and emotional political issues. What do you guys think about them?

Oh - before I forget...
Have any of you ever read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn? If you have, have you read the sequel called My Ishmael by the same author? Both are incredible books, describing ways we might end up destroying our kind and our world, and ways we could possibly turn things around for the better. Anyone read one or both of those books?

I think that if they got you interested in politics they are good, however if you came into politics with their views then they are a source of brainwashing, which is bad.

True. However, my initial spark into politics was while my dad served on a Coast Guard cutter for a few years. That got me into wanting to know about the retarded things that the military can do sometimes, and I guess I went from there. lol..

I've heard of Boy Sets Fire a little bit, there a pretty good band and have got some good ideas to. If you are into that type of political punk maybe check out Pennywise too.
