The worst case was probably "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" when I swear it started out at like 100%, but then went into 36% in a couple of days. BTW, I've seen that one and think it was as bad as everyone thinks.
I remember people going, "Ohh, Sinister has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes! This movie is gonna be awesome!"
Why do people always fall for that?

Because we're optimistic, unfortunately.

What is even different between those 4 movies? I'm not much of a movie-goer and I hardly ever watch horror movies. Those of you who have seen at least 2 of the 4 movies, what is the difference between them? They all look exactly the same to me.
Honest question; I'm not trying to bash a series I've never seen.
If a tree falls down in a forest, and no one's around to hear it, does anyone care whether or not it makes a sound?

It's just that it's old now.
We've seen it already.
The kinect thing doesn't change the fact that this is the same old shit.
There's also the ongoing story, which is full of a million plotholes, and every sequel just keeps creating more plotholes instead of answering anything.

The first one was all about psychological horror, it got in your head, no cheap jump scares.
The second stuck by this but added a slight amount of "action" for lack of a better term. The ghost got violent earlier in movie and it was violent for an entire half of the movie unlike just at the end in the first one.
the third one shit on a good thing and resorted to jump scares and felt so "hollywood" it even added a comedic relief character. Come on....
The fourth one, well it says "fuck it" and is about as horrible, predictable, and generic as the new silent hill movie.
i saw it too. sadly.

While a lot of people have obviously been disappointed by this movie, at least it's nowhere near as bad as "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" which only has a SEVEN percent on RT, meaning PA4 is almost four times as better than that. At least SHR3D is going ot make us all feel better about liking "Resident Evil: Retribution". I can't believe this has a 7.0 on the Internet Movie Database!

These things have happened to these people four times now, it should be called Normal Activity.
The only reason why the first movie was "so scary" is because everyone thought it was real. And then after PA2, everyone was like, "WTF THE FIRST ONE WASNT EVEN SCARY." I read what happened in the 4th one on wikipedia, and it seemed boring. However, since the 1st one came out, I've always, for some reason, given these movies a chance, even though I haven't seen the 3rd one yet.
Fuck Paranormal Activity. If you think a door slamming is scary you need to grow some nuts.
For I am and forever shall be... a master ruseman.
Just tell me how its different from the other 3 and then I'll just not watch it.

Seen the first and third one, they were not that good. So, I probably won't go and see this one.

It's about the atmosphere. You need to be into it. If you were alone in your house at night and it's quiet and suddenly your closes on its own, you'll get paranoid.
Bitch.
This is my signature. It is a nice signature.

Its the filmmakers job to put me into it and they're unsuccessful. People must be doing it to themselves. The most the movie could do is seem realistic enough in moments to give a slightly eerie feeling.
