Painting a day

In order for my digital painting skills not to get sloppy as time flows, I'm going to do a digital painting EVERY DAY, wether colored or not, complete or not, with reference or not, doesnt mather! I want to improve, and I've been learning that simply sketching traditionaly all the time is making my digital art skills feel very tame.

Well, I wasnt thinking about it. But if you want to, go ahead... Though If I'm going to draw Predator then it wont be in a black background like the Xenomorph... I hated painting on a black background

Best of luck with this man. I tried it at the start of this year but didn't last very long, regardless I got a lot of great improvement from it as I'm sure you will too.

Man I really enjoy the way you render surfaces. You seem to have to have a good understanding of how reflections work.

Well, my master has some really solid understanding on how the shading of things such as metal work, and I've been having classes with him and been a fan of his comics for quite a while, so even though I didnt actially practice it as much, I guess it just came out inconsciously

I know this is cheating but!

Anyway, I'm going on an hiatus for now, not only because it'll be saturday soon and I'm not in my house at saturdays in order to paint digitally, but because school tests are going to start comming. However, I'm in the 12th grade which means that I have few disciplines, so I only have like, 2 tests each 2-3 months. So... I'm going to stop until 31 October (day of the Portuguese test), but then I'll get right on track as fast as I can.

Perhaps it'll also be good for me since I'm starting to get sloppy at this...
