How to import animation sprite?

How to import animation sprite? 2012-10-16 02:53:23 Reply

Hi everyone, I am new in Flash.
I got a friend who draw a sprite for me (e.g. a walking person).
When I try to import the sprite, the picture does not animate, so it just stand there without doing the animation.
Can someone please help me how to import sprite ?
I am using CS 5.5 .

Have you actually put the sprites on different frames?

You can solve pretty much any problem you may have with AS3 by consulting the AS3 Language reference.

Soz, Im new in flash

So, I got the sprite from my friend, the files is in SWF.
What I did, File > Import to stage> the sprite (it should be animated)
and boom, it just stand there.
