NG Game Jam 8 and an impromptu Art Jam are a GO!

The GAME JAM theme is: Cabin in the Woods.

Yes, the theme is inspired by the (awesome) movie, BUT your game SHOULD NOT be about the movie.

Your goal this weekend is to make a game that centers around a cabin in the woods. Horror, comedy, fishing, WHATEVER YOU WANT. We let this idea marinate for a while and we think people could have a lot of fun with it.

We are calling this "Cabin Jam", so please include the Cabin Jam logo in your entry and link it to the Game Jam page to cross-pollinate. Luis made a logo for light backgrounds if you prefer that. The best game will snag $25 store credit per team member, max $100.

The ART JAM theme is: The Missing Eye.

If you've been reading the news, you saw that a huge eyeball washed ashore in Florida. People are speculating over what creature it belongs to. A giant squid perhaps? Or maybe something else? This weekend, illustrate the creature with the big blue eyes, who happens to be missing one. The best one will receive $25 store credit.

...but, should we just post our final images here in this thread or in the art portal? If the portal... should they be tagged with anything specific (artjam01, missingeye)? ...and what about unscouted peoples? Sure would be nice if they could be included in a tag search for contest and events like this too! Yep, it sure would! :P
