Still looking for an artist! PM me if you're interested! :D
Due to events beyond my control, I won't have all weekend to work on a game. So, I made a game in about six hours.

Let me guess: New York Comic Con?
My brother and I wanted to go since this is his senior year and he plans on studying computer science in a college in California. But our parents didn't allow us to go.
Speaking of which, thanks Tom for setting Game Jam and Art Jam to be this weekend. -_-
But I guess it gives us something to do for the weekend since we're not going...
I ended up not participating. Something randomly came up. Maybe next time !
Programmer about to get on a flight, musician's monitor died or something, artist mia at work or school, writer in some godforsaken EU time zone. Progress for Team Fluffy Rainbow Cloud!...

Oh man, I wish...
Progress on Team Crystal Egg: Mechanics and artwork coming along with time. Pretty piece-meal, but it helps I guess.
For my part, here is some progress.
I might not have done the game jam this time, but here's what I cooked up for the art jam.
Ooorah!
So, who's judging the art jam shindigeroo? Does anyone know?

Art Jam was fun, glad I just got scouted.
Looks good!
Wish I had time to play with everyone this weekend :( Cant wait to see everyone's work!
Update from Team Cabin Bros: I made a bunch of environment stuff and a few buildings, PSvils is still chugging away on the engine. Things are started to come together, hopefully we'll get it done in time!
Team FRC: found my artist and he's doing things; only adding sounds, art, and level design left for me; dialogue and stuff for the writer left; and I haven't seen my musician in a while...
JUST PRETEND IT'S A SILENT GAME -_-"
Where them other teams at?

sounds like a challenge!

A bigger challenge! :D
don't give up, peoples ^.^
I want to see what everyone's come up with. I'll have to look at them on Monday, though, I have too much to do this weekend :(
(which is why i'm procrastinating on NG)
Programming stuffs (tutorials and extras)
PM me (instead of MintPaw) if you're confuzzled.
thank Skaren for the sig :P
I'm looking forward to seeing the entries of these jams!
Team Cabin Fever Update: I haven't got a reply from the team's artist, the musician hasn't come up on Skype, and although the VA had PMed me, I told him of the hopelessness of the situation and I'm deciding to not do anything for this game jam due to miscommunication.
And surprisingly, I'm stoked.

I'm approximately 25% done. Adding a difficulty curve is difficult... I think I'm just going to make it:
-This is too easy. Losing is harder than winning.
-This is playable. I'll lose eventually.
-Oh man, finally a challenge!
-WHAT THE FUUUU!
As for audio.... I've got none as well except for a couple of sound effects from some video games. I'm probably going to visit the Audio Portal for a long tour.
Guess who's not getting any sleep?
Team Crystal Egg, that's who!

Don't forget me!
Earlier today I bought a container of Maxwell Instant Coffee or something like that because it was on sale. Guess what? It sucks. I should've stuck to my usual Nestle or DD brands...
So all-nighter with chocolate and butter loaf cake but no coffee is a-go-go!
(Also listening to Game Grumps on the side. A laugh every couple of seconds keeps me awake)

Nice!!
Here's my entry:

I'm just using the remaining time to decide whether or not I want anything to happen at the end. So far nothing happens.

Do it, do it now!!!
Team FRC: the musician's computer did die, but he has a phone with recording capabilities. Still able to add voices! (if Apple doesn't copyright restrict the files so I can't convert them to mp3s...)
I forgot how annoying it is to add art to a game, since I haven't done that in like a year. 4 hours to make a playable game engine, 44 hours to make it look pretty...

Alright, sure!
I don't think we're gonna finish in time for the jam :S
Family stuff to do, no telling when I'm even getting back
Oh well, we have a good game, just need time since none of us could make use of the entire 48 hours (I might have spent 8 hours when I could have reasonably had 12-15, more if I pulled an all-nighter). It'll make a good post-mortem, though.

But the engine is up and running with some bad ass scripting shit (not really scripting, just assigning variables and stuff), so that's a lot easier to make changes to the level.
What's the basis for your game? We have a combination of tower defense and top-down shooter. Making it tile-based would have made my life a bit easier, now that I think about it.
