Some guy he knew who had witnessed the accident even made a picture of it.
Because a village like ours is pretty small and things like this happen very rarely, it became quite the news in my school.
It stirred up allot of attention on twitter too, even stumbled upon the picture my co-worker's friend made (if anyone really wants to see it, it's on my page)
Have any of you guys ever witnessed a suicide or something similar? If so, what was your reaction?
Village?
Are you in africa or something?

I have no idea what else to call it. I am Dutch, you see.
I think it's more of a small town, a very small town.

Well, the only places in the world that have villages anymore are africa, india, and several countries in asia
I live in a city of 500,000 people or so, so when someone commits suicide, it is a bit impersonal.

The meaning of 'village' is different in a lot of Europe than it is in the Americas.
She must have been socially shamed to go through with something like that.
People in big cities tend to kill themselves over lesser reasons.

From what I have observed your understanding of the world is extremely limited to that of your own, and you tend to immediately shut out any objective view or perspective that differs from your immediate thoughts and feelings because you've somehow rationalized in your head that you can't ever be wrong, causing your critical thinking skills to be expressed in a matter that is somewhat manipulative and subjective.
So i'm just going to not even waste my time trying. whatever you say, big guy

Idk why, but I kept thinking of horoscopes and how that ties into what you said. How you could pretty much spit what you just said to %70 of the u.s. and they'll think it's true because damn near nobody really knows themselves enough to question something so articulately put, being thrown at them.
(if you guys don't understand, then nvm)

Well i try my best to put some of my brainpower into my posts because i have always been more fluent in the english language, with that said I'm really not just trying to sound smart with big words. most of what i type comes from what i believe and how i have perceived the personalities of people i've met in person and irl in my entire life. I mean, it couldn't be any more fucking true that it's really a challenge to truly perceive yourself from a third person perspective without the input of anyone else, but you can get better and better at it if you are simply able to criticize yourself and accept when you've make a mistake.
so I am totally okay with people challenging my opinions and beliefs because it's good to learn from our mistakes, i really try my best to keep an open mind and perspective but i am also confident enough in my opinion to recognize when there's a prominent flaw within a post someone makes on the bbs

Really?
Towns in the US, in the Northeast at least, tend to be split up into villages. Borough like things, of course. But the term village doesn't automatically mean mud huts and straw hats.
There was also this chick from my school in 11th or 12th grade who hung herself in her pool's plank.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.
ScaryPicnic made me do it.My letterboxd.
You're town is still bigger than mine.

Sorry for living in a first world environment surrounded by dense sky scraper sprinkled metropolises
Dis iz an amarikan wabsit! U sey "home town" cuz fuk dis!
On a serious note...
That's gruesome.
Shit sucks...
I couldn't imagine committing suicide via train. Might as well ease yourself into an industrial meat grinder.

What's wrong with it?
I mean... any type of suicide is a bad thought. But why is death by a train so exceptionally horrifying? It sounds like one of the quicker ways to go if you ask me.
You know about the Chardon High School Shooting? I was there, I knew TJ pretty well....hell, I was in the cafeteria when he started shooting. He was sitting about 2 tables away. At first I just ducked down because I thought he was going to just off himself. Then he shot Danny, and thats when I flipped out. It was crazy.

For a while I had thought people die pretty damn easily. A shot, a mangle, drowning, dehydration, starvation, we aren't exactly as tough as most other creatures. Over time I've began to realize while this is true, it's not as solid as I had thought.
Jake Evans for example. The teenager that had recently made headline news for killing his sister and mother. He chose a gun because, as he said, it would be quick and painless. He ended up shooting her about 7 times, after the first three rounds she was just screaming.
There was another case a while back I can't remember the specifics of. Some stranger came into a country house that spanned across many acres. While the father was out, this stranger beat to death the man's wife, 3 daughters, and the family dog. With use of a hammer. One daughter survived despite having her skull cracked inwards and bleeding unconscious in the field for several hours.
I'm just saying, you might survive the train accident; as many have before. And even if you don't die there is no such thing as an "instant death." Even being stabbed directly through the heart takes 3 seconds minimal to die. Therefore I compared being hit by a train to easing yourself into an industrial meat grinder. The notion that a train accident is a quick painless death is ridiculous. The real world is nothing like movies or cartoons portray it to be.
Never been a part of my life, thankfully.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
It happend about 2 years ago. I live in a smallish town too... since it's so small, rumors spread and yeah. I know exactly how it feels.
