Is there any way to edit your posts? I'm sure people have made spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc. that they've wanted to fix. Hell, I made an error in a thread I just made on the AP BBS.

Only through wishful thinking.
Your actual regret and shame will be on display for ever and ever, though.

YAY! :D
They added the edit post feature with the new re-design, but there are still a few glitches, so it only works when you don't have a sig.

Haha, I saw your spelling mistake before you edited it... Gotta be quick son!

Way to not read my mind and ruin my joke, Lord Enjoys-Having-A-Dick-In-His-Ear.
OK guys, give this post three minutes and I will edit it.
Edit: See? Works like magic!
Well, are they really such big problems that you need to rewrite your post or otherwise nobody will understand? Also, it's not that much effort to recheck your posts before posting, is it?
The big problems with an edit button are that it's very open to abuse (e.g. posting nude/shock pics and removing them when a mod comes online) and it can cause a lot of confusion (the whole continuity of a thread is broken after people edit some of their posts). So I think it will create way more problems than it solves.

So can I.
EDIT: Must be one of them supporter features.
All I know is that this has been discussed about five million times and it always comes to the same result; it won't be added because it causes complications.
It is possible, you have to delete your signature, upload something to the art portal and send Wade naked pictures of yourself.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.

Never.

I can edit this post to say I am God and I will get away with it.

Sort it out, admins.
Editing time is going to be in the new NG Map Pack, along with a free complimentary basket of blueberry muffins.

there are some bugs like the apostrophe bug
lets discuss that instead of this again
this feature was proposed and rejected
reasons for regection
editing your posts to make people who reply to them look stupid will cause threads to become incomprehensible gibberish
this is a bad thing

i usually make a serious post hoping to get a positive response
and when i do i replace with embedded bestgore images
1. Go to "Browse All Posts".
2. Right click the post you want to edit.
3. Select "Edit Text".
4. Re-type.
5. Post/Submit.
actually yes, i think there is a way to correct typing errors in a post. you just need to click the appropiate spot and press 'backspace' before submitting your post to the forum, or press 'enter' if there is something you want to add.
see, it is that simple.
EDIT: also, it turns out that there are no other ways to edit a post in this forum. by pressing the submit button, you automatically give up your right to edit things.
Write sentence.
Stop.
Re-read.
Correct grammatical error.
Stop.
Re-read.
If everything is okay then Post.
Why is this so hard?
Not being able to edit posts feels like part of these forums. Be a man and stand for your mistakes / embarassing posts. No regrets.

Well it is nothing more than a forum.

9 times out of 10, threads that progress that quickly are just stupid +1 post dumps where it doesn't matter if the posts are in any coherent order anyway.
And to the rest of it: Nope. Been asked a million times already; the majority of the userbase is too stupid and immature here to be trusted with an edit button. While I like the idea of being approved for one (forum scouting system, maybe?), it's not something that'll end well if given to everyone.
Posts editing is for girls. Real men know grammar and spelling.
Bitte meine beliebte Nazi mods, keine bannerino, weil ich auch ein Nazi Scwein bin! Danke schön
Stop typing, look over it, make sure it's pristine and as you imagined, then click "post."
