Toy Story on the Mega Drive. It had frustrating moments but I eventually beat it and felt glad I did it. It may have been a movie-based game but it actually wasn't that bad.
Really? How the hell did you beat that game I got up to Sid's room eventually and that just got ridiculously hard for me when I was younger and I could never finish the game. I do agree it was awesome though.
I'm not sure what mine is, the games I recall completing on my consoles when I was younger earliest would be Sonic 2 or 3, Ristar, Starwing and Super Mario World, for the Amiga I really wouldn't be able to say which was earliest I used to play games loads on that and some were short. I loved Simon the Sorcerer and Monkey Island etc. and I watched my brothers complete them to know what to do. Sadly I can't recall which came first.
I never actually beat games much when I was young, I tended to fail and accept defeat thinking "Well I got as far as I could, will try again later" and indeed I did try again later, I used to love games despite hardly beating any of them (as I sucked at games even more than I do now), sadly these days it seems we all HAVE to beat games, yet I really don't recall thinking that way when younger, I wish we still felt more like that now.
