Hey it'sm Psycho Goldfish here, the newest Network type person. I'm posting to let you all know that mini putt 2 is almost finished.... as a matter of fact you can play the practice mode over at Psycho Goldfish Creative Media and master the holes before the tournaments begin.

oh, and if hole 7 pisses you off, Wade Fulp designed it ;)

I played mini-putt 2 and it's pretty good, but I don't like it as much as the first one because with my roller mouse i can only aim the ball a certain number of pixils, so my aim is always either slightly to the left or to the right of the hole. MP 1 was more forgiving with my aim, and would drop the ball if i was a tiny bit off. Plus, the ball's kind of choppy when it starts rolling but I know that's cause my computer is slow and stupid. I need a new computer and a laser mouse. Donations, anyone?

I played mini putt 2 (Well I guess you could say the version without the tournament in it) and I think it's a great game.
I only have 1 suggestion,though.
Before you submit it to NG could you please make the motion of the ball more fluent for people with slower
computers?Because when I played it, the only motion of the ball I saw was just simply frame-by-frame motion.

I only like the new holes. Everything else about this mini putt is worse off than the first one. Choppy ball motion, inaccurate physics, an inability to super-hit your putt, and your choice as to how slow the ball must go into the putt is immensely irritating. Even through the shortfalls, I got 55/70. Hole 7 isn't too bad, either.

yeah take off the over hit feature. I think its pretty cool. I think the way the ball rolls is slightly better in the first but i still love it. the courses are excellent and psycho goldfish is truly the god of flash games.

What happened to the physics in MP2? In almost all of the holes the ball would slow down then speed up on the regular turf. The play mechanics as well as the hole designs were much better in MP. You should've kept the original design and just added the tournament mode to it.

GEEZ! I noticed that too! The ball bounces like 273456026543265 more timesthan MP too. I don't like how it limits you to a certain distance/speed when the aim thing goes red and the lag when the ball is in motion is HORRIBLE. When I decided to play good ol' MP1 after MP2 demo to compare, MP1 had no lag and I LOVE the physics. BUT MP2 is gonna have an internet tournament mode... which WILL be sweet... but I feel I could only take people to school on MP1...

I actually got the hole in 4 strokes... When I saw it at first I laughed... It looks tedious but if you just avoid ALL walls and you'll be fine. And although you all know I don't like the physics in MP2, I love the holes. Creative score I'd give a 10/10! :-D

Actually,I think,first one is better.Graphics are ultra :) but I just didn't find this interesting.

While the holes are superb, the physics of the game are simply terrible! In one hole, with the loop, I didn't hit the ball hard enough, so it came flying off the loop, ricocheted way to much off a wall, went flying back up the loop, and this happened about 5 times. The ball bounces way too much, and as much as I hate to say it, Mini-Putt 1 is far superior.

Mini Put 2 Seems ok, its great for experts. Maybe you should do a complete golf game. And Hole 7 Does piss you off

I'll be going over the code a bit to tighten up the game a little bit. The physiscs I used for the generic hitting/bouncing are the same as in MP1, but in order to make course creation easier on myself I used a generic wall detection system that causes lag on older machines. This lag gives the illusion that your ball is moving slow at first, and can make the speed appear to fluxuate on you. This same lag is also the reason I had to limit the hit power (that and it forces you to use skill and aim to win), but I also toned down the friction to allow your ball to roll farther. Hopefully I can get this lag minimized so everyone can enjoy the game, and I'm already working on the spiral glitch! The tournament modes are progressing well... I have the private competitions working and I have a good start on the rest. Thanks for the feedback, you are helping to make this a better game!

i just finished i got a score of 50. anyone goin to beat that?

Of course. I remember people posting scores in the 20's for MP1, and I'll bet someone manages to get under 40 in this one before long. I got a 45 my first time trying, anyway, and I think I could shave at least 2 strokes off that.

!!! Haha! I went in "new email contest", got a score of 41 and it said "New high score!" Yay for me! :) Post in here if someone beats that... Even though all who signed up should get an email notice... Ah never mind! When tournament mode begins all shall bow to me as I wield my mighty golf club!
