I'm in 10th grade, and so far it doesn't seem like a lot of schools really teach kids more creative things. Instead usually for the first 14 school years of a persons life, they have to go learn about history, science, math, etc. Now I don't want to say kids shouldn't learn it, I just think there should be more variety as to what we're being taught in schools. I've even seen one or two people on here say we don't even use half the stuff school teaches us in our jobs, so why can't we (people who don't want to be a scientist or history teacher or math teacher, whatever) learn the stuff we actually want to learn instead? Some schools may have things like music and art, but most of the time those are extracurricular. I think that's bullshit, if you want to be an artist then they should definitely be teaching art as an actual class. Maybe that's why it's hard for people to actually get their dream jobs, because they are taught things they didn't/don't exactly want to know for many years.
To be honest with you all, I want to be an entrepreneur and I feel what I'm learning right now is in no way relevant to that. I want to be a lot of things:
2D/3D Game Creator (I want to work on levels, story, characters, etc.)
TV Show Creator/Producer(Specifically one Anime inspired TV show)
Animator & Web Series Creator (I was inspired by a few people on here to be that)
Film Maker (I have an idea for two movies, both CGI animated, I think they need more in theaters)
Writer (At least for my TV show idea and maybe write a book)
Artist (I doodle in my messed up sketchbook very rarely, I really want to draw anime stuff)
Music Composer (I have thoughts of good music, but I have no idea how to put any together, nor do I have the equipment)
I hope I made it clear and didn't confuse anyone. Anyway what do you all think about schools and what they teach?
Just call me Psycho for short.
