Halloween Spooktacular

For the month of October we'll be running this SPOOKY Castle Crashers theme by Seenya! There are some new skins on the way for other parts of the site but they won't have a Halloween theme.

This month is a great time to make some SCARY or horror-themed games, movies, music, art and lit. When the month ends we'll have prizes for the best in each category. They won't be huge but hopefully they will provide some encouragement! I'll set up the Halloween 2012 page this week and finalize the prizes. Tag your submissions with "halloween2012" so we can find them!

If you're a writer you can already get started in the Horroween Writing Contest!

Keep in mind, people love this stuff all month long but aren't as interested once Halloween has passed, so if you want to make something, aim for a release before Halloween.

VOICE ACTORS: If you want to upload a Halloween voice demo reel, create a skit where you assume the role of an individual creature, talking solo. JohnnyUtah and I are working on a Halloween treat that will let people have some fun with those. Tag your submission "halloween2012voice" and try to keep it under one minute.

Also coming this month is NG Game Jam 8!

Movie Jam 2 was this weekend and the results will be posted shortly, along with Madness Day winners.

This is also a good time to check your account page and see if you're on the panel to vote for the Best of September!

It started getting overwhelming judging five categories and writing actually took the longest because of the time to read everything, but maybe we some volunteer judges we could give it a shot!
