Oh boy, here we go.
It seems everything is now a disability like depression and Fibromyalgia. Okay, that's fine if the person has a disability and if he/she is able to afford medication and physical therapies. It isn't fine when I hear people misusing government entitlements to buy their stake-ribs and luxury cars.
How do you feel that there are people who misuse government entitlements when those same entitlements could be given to people who actually need it for medication and therapy?

I been told by many GP's that I have depression. I don't think I'm abusing any form of government by saying that I have depression. If depression is a disability than sure. I don't really get any benefits. I've felt like this for years. Both my parents have mental illnesses as well as a lot of my family. Acknowledging that I have depression has been one of the best decision of my life. What's your beef?

Lol do you think that people with depression and fibromyalgia get entitlements and use them to buy luxury cars?
I always find it funny that people make these claims never have anything to support them.

Show me someone with a disability who brought a luxury car with the payments. I haven't come across someone like that yet.

If a woman is to be a slut and have 7 children she is given a sum of money equal to a well paying job from the government without working a single day in her life. Such people are known about but sadly as the laws stand there is nothing to stop it.
It's retarded for sure, as not only does it drain on the resources it also adds to population growth and most importantly the children are unloved and in many cases hated, being born only for the sole purpose of money, and they grow up to be yet more bad people.
I am living on benefits myself since I am looking for work so I require them, but I really do wish they weren't so freely given to people who obviously have no intention of working unlike people like me who have every intention of getting on with their life when the chance comes.

How do you feel when I tell you government disability isn't very much money, at least in the US? You're not living as well as someone with a job. They get this money because THEY CANNOT work. Not that they're abusing it, you fucking asshole.

I've never heard of stake-ribs before, but the problem is that there isn't much the government can do about it, probably because they don't get that much in entitlements in the first place. Really, once the person gets a government entitlement, then they can do whatever they want as long as it's legal.
How do you feel that there are people who misuse government entitlements when those same entitlements could be given to people who actually need it for medication and therapy?
I would be a little upset about it, but at the same time, there isn't much we can do about it because of the laws that be. For whatever reason, there are people out there who are more than willing to exploit the government, because they are disabled.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Some people can work, but choose not too because in their mind getting a bit of money from the government while doing nothing is better than working and getting much more money
Why would you get that worked up over something so trivial? Do you have a relative of friend that uses the entitlement system?

Yes, I have a relative with mental retardation, and is incapable of working. And trust me, mostly entitlement isn't that much money.

Usually people that receive government assistance don't get that very much for money so i don't think they really can afford luxury cars unless they are doing something illegal and as far people buying stake ribs there is nothing that says they can't buy them.

I feel nothing about it because this "problem" is virtually nonexistent. I would be shocked if you could show me a single actual instance of someone using disability pay to buy a luxury car.

Fucking welfare is not equal to a well paying job, not even close. And you're acting like this is some rampant problem in our society when in reality the whole concept of the "welfare queen" is mostly a myth, the result of right-wingers taking a few extreme cases and constantly harping on them to justify cutting welfare programs.
And odds are this "slut" is a woman who has never had the kind of access to adequate sex education and contraception that you take for granted.

The amount of resources it drains is infinitesimal compared to the amount of resources we spend on corporate welfare and making things go pew pew in Afghanistan.

Exactly, thank you! I find it incredibly sad that people are so concerned about the government "wasting" what in the grand scheme of things is a pretty paltry amount of money on poor and sick people, yet don't bat an eyelash when corporations get billions of dollars in bailouts, subsidies, and tax breaks that they then spend on inflated executive bonuses, private jets and cars, fancy retreats and, most likely, staggering amounts of hookers and blow. Not to mention how we've spent the past decade spending hundreds of billions of dollars on killing random people halfway around the world for no particular reason.

It irritates me when I find out that something has happened like that, and I tend to have less faith in the government in general. Like with the woman that was found to still be getting food stamps after she won a million dollars. That's just messed up. There are tons of people that screw the system like that every day.

My sister who was on disability because she has cerebral palsy. She recieved a little less than $800 a month. She lost her benefits after getting married.
My girlfriend who is own disability who's father is also on it that increases the amount she gets every month gets a total $475 a month. Combined this couldn't even buy us remotely of what one would call a luxury car.
Instead of ripping on the poor and disabled like conservatives love to do, why not attack the war on drugs that makes politicians and enforcement agencies millions of dollars in the name of "protecting" us from dangerous drugs and try to ban the use of government issued tax credit cards that politicians use to spend hundreds and thousands of tax payers money for expensive trips and thousand dollar meals. Yes these really exist. Ex-Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin got busted for doing just this. A simple mayor of one city in the entire United States. Figure our that math.

Live next to someone who completely fits what I mentioned then reply again. Such people do exist and they truly are drains on the economy. And slut is a very fitting term considering she also got money via selling her body.

I always have to roll my eyes when people talk about government entitlements being abused. Sure, it happens. Sure, it would be a good idea to do something about it in the foreseeable future, but if you want to know who's really ripping off the government, think about people like Mitt Romney who pay 13% taxes and stash away money in offshore bank accounts. He's probably got more money that he owes the government than several dozen government-reliant deadbeats.
As for people using disabilities for these entitlements, I wouldn't have much experience on the matter. My sister is legally a midget (22 years old and 4'9") but hasn't applied for a handicap license or anything. Although our household qualifies for food stamps (I think) we generally don't take up on any of these offers.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

That's right folks, not paying greater than 13% is you ripping other people off, while you taking money and giving nothing back is not

Actually, it isn't. The term you're looking for would either be "prostitute", "hooker", "whore" or even "harlot".
The word "slut" doesn't describe money in trade for sex at all.
