Too whiny.

The only thing Nu Metal-ish that I like is Disturbed. Even then, I can't stand any of their songs about love just because of how damn whiny they sound.

Of course, the other metal bands I listen to have sad songs but they're missing the "whiny" quality. They're good at making it seem that they have a legitimate reason to be sad. That's something that Nu Metal doesn't do very well for whatever reason.

Its not anything wrong they do. Its not what they're saying or the type of people that listen to it or the things the wear. It is pretty much just the music. The music is not good.

I just find it kind of annoying when someone asks me what music I like and I tell them metal and all they think of is Slipknot and the like.
