Heath Ledger's Joker Sep. 24th, 2012 @ 05:55 PM Reply

Is it just me or is Heath Ledger's Joker one of the best performances Hollywood has ever seen?

He definitely pulled off the new iteration well though, and well be remembered as the best of it's kind if anyone ever attempts to emulate that style.

I don't think he would've won the oscar if he'd have lived, but it'd still be fascinating.

He's good. But I honestly don't like that version of the joker. The one from the animated series is the best to be honest.

He was great that's for sure.He was also the greatest Joker. But I can't really say it was the best acting ever.

I loved it. He was great. I didn't even know he was dead when I watched it. No idea who he was. You know what I didn't like? Brandon Lee in The Crow. That sucked ass.

^ This, so much this!

Heath Ledger's Joker was new and fresh, he certainly deserved the Oscar whether he lived or died. However Mark Hamill's voice for the Joker I find to be better than Heath's Joker.

we need a batman movie starring mark hamil and bruce time

regardless of the fact that neither one of them could pull it of physically

at least they would have the right voices.

While he did do a really well performance as the Joker, I would have preferred if they used the actor that's the most fucked up, crazy, and just plain insane, so Charlie Sheen.

I think Charlie Sheen would make a better Mad Hatter actually.

I was about to thank you for making this thread because it inspired me to watch The Dark Knight again but upon placing the DVD in my computers disc drive, it crashed. I rebooted my PC and was greeted with some nasty error message which basically implied that my file system was corrupted and the OS was not able to boot.

Thank god for Live CDs. I was able to access the command line from there and fix it. Fuck The Dark Knight. I don't want to watch that shit any more. I thought I was going to have to reinstall my OS because of it.

You may have been joking, but I'm not. I think he'd make a killer Joker and an even better Batman. Shit, if Hollywood is going to keep pumping out shitty reboots of shittier remakes they might as well cast him as the lead so they're remotely watchable.

Just like everyone else that dies all of a sudden the become the greatest thing ever =/ his performance was good but nothing exceptionally great, personally think the greatest joker would be hamill and if he ever played a live action joker it'd be amazing.

If that's the case, then why wasn't his performance in I'm Not There and Doctor Parnassus praised?
