The Sword of The Samurai Cat by Mark E. Rogers. He's probably a better artist than a novelist, but it's damn funny at times, if a bit dated. Plenty of death by swords and conventional arms, in unconventional circumstances.
Miaowara Tomokato and his nephew came from 16th century Japan to a Charlton Heston themed version of late 20th century America, to avenge the death of his master. Yeah they're furries by modern standards, but they seem to be treated as normal in this conflict ridden universe they're in.
What can I say, I'm slumming it - life's too damn serious for serious novels now anyway.
Now building Vault 101, soon to include useful and concise podcasts, maybe.
