NG Print Calendar 2013 Sep. 18th, 2012 @ 01:44 PM

A lot of this is recycled from ReNaeNae's post from a few years so thank you ReNaeNae for writing it up.

We are having an art contest to fill each month of the 2013 Newgrounds Calendar! This is a print calendar that we sell in the store.

PRIZES:

Each of the 12 winners will receive:
- A month of the calendar with his/her art featured
- A Calendar
- $25 Store Credit
- Stickers and junk!

RULES:
The art needs to be print resolution!
- 10.75" x 8" @ 300 d.p.i. (3225 px by 2400 px)
- That's 10.75 inches wide by 8 inches tall at 300 D.P.I. - in other words 3225 pixels wide by 2400 pixels tall (don't screw this up)
- You MUST post your entry in the Art Portal and tag it with "calendar2013" or else we won't find it.
- You may have discussions and link to your final piece in this thread.
- You can enter as many pieces as you want, but only one can win.
- As always, no tracing, only finished high-quality work.

SUBJECT MATTER:
- Must be Newgrounds flavored/themed.
- We want to see YOUR style! Remember, people have to look at these for a full month, so go all-out and make them something special.
- Keep it SAFE FOR WORK so people can put it in their cubicle.
- Fan/tribute art will get more consideration than self-promotional pieces.
- Try to cover characters you've seen on NG this past year, vs the classic go-to guys.

DEADLINE:
Finished entries must be posted to the Art Portal by MONDAY, OCTOBER 22nd, NOON EST.

There are still a few 2012 calendars remaining if you want one!

Need a refresher on the past year? You can start with the January front page archive and go from there.

Originally I was going to make one with FERNANDO fighting with a SQUID, but im going to replace the squid with PUMPKIN with candy tentacles

The other stuff on that list is good. A tribute to Edd would be really nice for March. I'll avoid naming favorites, anything on that list could be a good pick.

Thinking I might tackle the Edd tribute - my VERY VERY basic sketch below. Just did in like 5 minutes to throw out the idea of doing the whole God touching Adam's finger but with Edd and the cola bottles instead, haha
Trying to make it more light hearted than anything. If people like it, then I'll keep doing it, if not, then I'll try my hand at something else.

Shoot I should have added this to my list. That would be a great one.
