I have an idea and direction for a game but have no idea how to program or code one. I'm going for a 3D open world game kinda like minecraft but with a more realistic art direction and and a story too it.
Any help at all would be amazing.
So let me get this straight: you want to make an open-world 3D game (probably multiplayer) and you have no experience with coding?
there's quite a few things wrong with that, and honestly i'm not sure where to begin pointing out the flaws.
let's make a simile:
That's like someone telling you they want to do neurosurgery, but all they did was watch medical soaps (such as House)
Would you trust them to operate on your brain?
using that simile, the most obvious thing you should do is grab some medical equipment and learn how to use it.
Get a C++ compiler and learn how to code.
OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) is a good starting point.
