Last couple nights that's what I've been working on, and I feel a bit better now. Was never able to make a character walk.
Day 1
2 legged walk - http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/5f1fd0069b6103fb213dd853 27a6895a
Day 2
4 legged walk - http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/a00f7fd637aeca907afe73fb 4f48f84f
Day 3
Bambi walk - http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/534d9e0815ffc99c68f738ca f53c4b1c
Next i'll prob retrace the animation a 2nd time, make it less jumping, fix head, add colour. Tommarow probably, just wanted a bit of feedback.
Looking good. Keep it up! The line work and proportions will come in time. For now your grasp of movement and key poses is clearly strong. Try getting more natural or more cartoonish with your walks. Give your subjects some character. :)

Redrew it again, added colour, I fucked up the head the most i think in this, was trying to make it sway left and right, failed hard.

I think the legs aren't long enough. Deer tend to have longer legs even as a fawn.
Here is an example of a deer and a fawn together so you can see what I mean:
I posted this somewhere else so I'll copy it paste it here because its the same point:
ll the legs appear to be landing at the same time while I believe it suppose to land at a various but a rhythmic pace. I attempted a horse walk cycle before and it was hard to grasp. Videos from Richard William's "Animator's survival kit" helps a lot. Here's some here about a horse but you can loosely apply the idea some any animal walking on 4-legs:

Yeah, got his book and dvd set, using that. Only been animating for 5 days like this now, so I don't think my progress is going to bad. I understand some things i did not before, good stuff in there.|
