Actually can you just pretendI'm a supporter instead? Kthxbai!
I propose an Idea to Tom Fulp!
Another way to get user support, with all the artwork submitted to NG, would it be possible for those that get front-paged or receive a certain amount of popularity to offer print sales of their works through NG, with NG getting a cut of the purchase?
I can't stand your crying face in the AD :'(
Is this real?
Money can only provide so much. It seems that NewGrounds has indeed been a struggling since since the web boom of the 1990s but, think about it, so many of other websites have managed to monetize their website. Right? I mean Twitter, YouTube, and god damnit I have to mention it, Facebook. They've all managed to turn their websites into successful businesses. Obviously Newgrounds has great potential but, what element is it missing? It's clear that Newgrounds has very talented artists, musicians, animators, programmers, and writers; that statement goes without a question.
I feel that you need to focus on transitioning Newgrounds from desktop experience to handheld experience. Newgrounds has a FUCK TON of great content...but, just make it accessible wherever we go.
Newgrounds could be much more relevant to the new generation of people who are discovering the internet through their phone. Cross-device compatibility is essential now-a-days. A new responsive layout could be useful.
tl;dr you made the nes now make it portable
/ two cents
...
There is a lot we hope to accomplish. Newgrounds was never intended to be a secondary dump on the information superhighway - it is a catalyst for creativity, a place where you meet the people you will create with for life.
We will accomplish great things with your support.
God i couldnt agree more. I dont know where i would be today if it wasnt for this site!!!
<3 NG. Ill gladly donate.
Also, would you be using this money for research & development or will you be using it to keep up ol' bessie?

Well I would support Newgrounds, but I can't seem to pay for this... perhaps my store credit is in the way? I would spend that, but I can't get any T-Shirts that I want.
Seriously, is there any other way I can work this out?
I find this hilarious. Look who helped NG:
http://notdoppler.newgrounds.com
(NotDoppler is another flash game site)

What's wrong with that? They are getting exposure by submitting their flash games on Newgrounds. Why not support the site that is helping them reach out to a wider audience?

I think you meant "omnipotent". :P
Although knowledge could certainly be a force because knowledge is power.
A useless upgrade?! Count me in!
It declined my credit card with the feedback:
"Your credit card was declined. Please check the information you entered and make sure it is correct."
Which it was.

Maybe the evil credit card companies have cancelled your card :O
I'll gladly support NG, it's pretty much the site that introduced me to the internet. Gonna have to wait for a tiny little amount of time though, pretty broke at the moment.

Or is it the opposite? Not a missing element, but something extra? If NG is seen as a somewhat loose cannon with the content that wouldn't suite other sites, that might have the contradictory result of actually pleasing the users but not pleasing the advertisers.
English blogs:
In A Complete World
Entertainment Evolution
I will be able to make a donation in about 2 weeks, that's still cool right right?

Is Newgrounds really a "loose cannon" site though? Maybe, back in the olden days "Club-a-seal" days of the internet. And Sure there's offensive material on Newgrounds website but there's just as offensive material on successful websites like Tumblr, YouTube, Flickr, Deviant Art, YTMND, & 4chan, right?
I'd love to help but im broke. :( No matter what, keep newgrounds up, its super awesome place!
As fun as those new tabs are to look at don't you think you lose even more advertisers FASTER is you have "no more ads" plastered all over your site?
Honestly im just clicking about every ad I come by.

Wow, good question. I never even thought of the consequences of advertising a no-ad type service. Although, maybe the amount of people who don't have accounts (or are supporters for that matter) is going to stay significantly higher than the amount who purchase the supporter upgrade.
Mmh, you know what? This looks damn interesting. Pretty cool idea. You can't kill a website like this. Games like Alien Hominid are played every 5 seconds, everyone would be like "ARGHHH NO MORE GAMES".
But please, Tom, I think NewGrounds should have an Adult Section instead of including the adult games between the other
games with Mature/Teen/Everyone rating. Everytime I'm searching for a good game with a Teen/Everyone rating, I always end up with an adult game down in the games' section. The Rating Filter does not work that much... Let's make NG more friendly.
That does not make me happy.
Sorry for my poor english, by the way. : (

You can turn off A and M, if you do those things should not show up. By default A rated content is disabled. HOWEVER A rated content still appears in "newest" and "hottest" games/moves/art section. I assume this is what you are getting at. If so I agree. In fact....look down Tom. See that? On the bottom right? "hentai oral," filtering that out and keeping it from the public will help with appearances overall.
Just leaving there makes you look kinda reckless.
Donated right away, since I wouldn't really be where I am today without Newgrounds.
I do think Newgrounds should come up with some more interesting bonuses for supporters though.
Kongregate are doing something similar, and they're giving out beta access to new games, extra profile customization options, and other stuff, on top of removing ads.
I did my part.
That and red looks good on me.
