Just my two cents, or rather my $25, I think you should have different Supporter Tiers, and leave it uncapped.

Like, for $5, you get one month ad-free, $10 three months, $25 forever...
$50 or more = forever + some extra bonuses like those ever-elusive naked pics of you, Tom.

I think a lot of the websites, that aforementioned VCs are currently throwing money at, do this freemium model?
(Reddit Gold being the first example I can think of)

I am having difficulty with Checking out it says my cards either don't match up or are being declined WHEN I HAVE MONEY ON THEM. I even went to the store to buy a pre-paid debit card and tried and I still don't get it.

Also my previous question still stands - will it be possible to remove or at least move the "supporter" banner on the profile. I know you want curious people to click it and maybe become supporters themselves but I really don't like the "I paid actual money for a premium account with silly bells and whistles" vibe of it.

well alot of the younger users complain about not having a card and the possibility of Paypal. plus the real fear is the fact of PayPal freezing you account something they have been known to do. I use paypal now because I been having problems with my cards in the NG store and I have all the correct info and the money but it says CARD DECLINED.
