Did you play Ragnarok Online? Do you like that game?
3.53 / 5.00 13,419 ViewsWhich do you prefer? I personally prefer Linux, in more detail, Ubuntu 12.04. I think it runs faster and better than Windows, and has the open freedom that Mac does not include. The only downside to Linux is the fact that alot of games run like shit in WINE. And the fact that there making some apps cost money is another down side, but overall at least you get a nice clean Operating Systme with no fear of viruses. So, What is your favourite Operating System?
If you have a favourite Operating System, please explain why you chose that Operating System and why it is superior to the other Operating Systems.
I like Ubuntu as well and have it installed on one laptop, and I still use WinXP on one computer. Vista was fucking horrible and I have no interest in following the Windows 7 or 8 thing. The next computer I get (whenever that is) will be running Linux.

oh yeah and I forgot to mention that Mac OS is to operating systems what Fisher Price is to power tools

So true, especially since the people who buy macs and other apple products treat them like toys.

Oh i'm gonna give it to you alright, bend over.
It really depends on what use are you going to give to your computer, if its for gaming, obviously Windows is the best choice. But if its for casual browsing, nothing to busineeslike Linux and their alternatives are the best choice.
Mac only if you want to look like you have money but you dont.
All have their pros and cons.
Personally i use Windows 8 and Xubuntu.

I will never ever buy a Mac.
I occasionally switch between Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux, although I might go back to Ubuntu all together since Steam is being released for it.

I prefer having more support for my devices that I already own, thank you very much.

They're all fine choices. I just prefer Windows. They do the job you'll want. Just don't be a moron.
Windows. Linux is good to. and the Mac is just plain horrible.

I'm not surprise a weeaboo like you saying this.
Tell me 3 things that Windows is better in business than Linux (or OS X); I'll beat you white Jap ass down in less than 3.
Linux, Ubuntu to be exact.
I just love Linux, working with software used to be my job. In the first place, it's faster and and stronger in general than Mac or Windows.
I like Firefox for the same reason
Tox isn't allowed to come or I'm not going-Suprememessage
I actually prefer cross use between Linux and Windows.
Single or dual boot. Either is fine. Personally I don't trust Wine/CrossOver that much in using WIn software (even I heavily hacked them up, just for running .NET-like)
For the Weeaboo's argument; here are mine:
Security - I don't fuck around when come to security. I was one of some first people developed speed attack on Windows 7 via its native printer program to inject malware. Like business office, you said, Weeaboo? What stops this from happening on Linux (or OS-X/BSD and shit tons other UNIX-like). Simple: Privileges. You have user, group and others. 777 anyone? Anything that goes beyond main users' need the users password in order to open, write or execute, depend on permission setting. Only Windows Server distros offer a working Privilege system.
Speed - Speed is crucial. Business, again? Right now I'm running 5 non genetic processes on Backtrack, including LibreOffice & 5 tabs Firefox. CPU & RAM?
Almost everything you need is free - plus huge community to support if you ever stuck. All you need to do is Ctrl-Alt-T, apt-cache search ... , apt-get install ... quicker than anything else.
Linux: I dont like the poor support and the lack of good drivers. This is pretty much an exclusive OS for people who code, the market share is very small and for good reason.
Mac: Too locked down.

let the nerds rage
I can work with Windows and Mac fluently and I see Linux once in a blue moon so it doesn't even matter to me anymore.
you're all doing a great job
Linux is much faster than the other two combined. I use Windows but my older brother has a Linux and it's probably my favourite.
Linux is faster, but who said it was useful?
To the average user, compatibility is all that matters.
ubuntu is the worst linux distro ever made. it is for mentally retarded braindead users. its a piece of shit
