Now I know that someone does actually give a fuck, I can PM them if I spot anything else, but a more concrete way of keeping them out in the first place would be better, IMO. Since their response to spambots was just to hide the whole section in the first place, I didn't expect the staff to really care about what was going on in the blogs. This was more of a "Point and laugh at how retarded the whole section is now." thread than anything else, and it just happened to enlighten me to the fact that someone still cares about it enough to delete them if they go too far. Which was a nice surprise.

I'm more concerned that the spam bots collectively decided that newgrounds was the perfect market for this particular product. It's not like they hold group meetings to decide what they're going to use to try and get attention, right? It's probably just some guy behind a desk who has a monopoly on pretty much all the spam bots in between masturbating sessions and crying into a pillow, and he doesn't exactly do market research if when looking at newgrounds he just leaned back, withdrew more tissues from his box of shame, and decided to try and corner the lucrative blog-reading cartoon child pornography enthusiasts.

Is that a big demographic here? They didn't decide to hock, say, flash games and movies, did they? Nope, because obviously no-one here has much of interest in either of those things, being on fucking Newgrounds.

Well they might not if they go to the biggest Flash Portal on the internet and decide to read the freaking blog section.

I think the pm system is fairly efficient. If shit hits the fan, it's better to just send a pm to an admin addressing your concern and they'll take a look. I think a Newspost whistle system would probably just end up being abused to all hell and would create more unnecessarily work for the moderators.

For the second time now: This was a point-and-laugh thread. I was not expecting anything in particular to be done, nor do I really care about the blog section anymore (not since it was overrun with spambots at least). An admin deleting it was a nice surprise, nothing more.
I already know to use the PM system for things I actually do see fit to bring to the admins' attention.

That's what the Garbage whistle was invented for. And so far, the only thing that's been actively removed is this CP issue, meaning the rules are pretty lax. If it's not outright going to get the site in a heap of trouble, it wouldn't be flaggable just like it's not reportable now.

Anyway: They're all gone now, so let's see if he / she / it / they / you / whatever take the hint and stay gone.
