Nowadays, I see a lot of unneeded hate against hipsters. What is it about hipsters you don't like? I know a lot of them are pretentious cocksucking douches, but most of them are pretty cool people who don't afraid of anything. I'm the kind of hipster who dresses like one, but I don't have a burning hatred for swag, or anything mainstream. However, I can't say I'm a big fan of YMCMB.

Maybe they should start dressing like regular people.

I personally don't hate hipsters because too many people hate hipsters nowadays and that's too mainstream.

I didn't care about hipsters until recently. My friend works at a uh... hipster clothing store, it really is, but I think she gets offended if it's called anything but like... trendy, or indie clothes.

Now, I never hung out with "real" hipsters until a few months ago. My friend's sister's friends came to a party and these hipsters were the most condescending, pretentious fucking assholes I've had the misfortune to come across. While I never bothered to introduce myself or talk to them (hearing all too much about the "hipster way," and wondering if it was true), apparently one of my friends tried, and overheard them calling him a fat fucking loser because he was high or something. Then I saw my other friend's now-ex girlfriend walk up to them, only to have one guy LITERALLY turn his back on her.

After that nonsense, I haven't talked or seen my friend since.

So yeah - fuck hipsters, I don't care if it's a generalization or a hatred towards their fashion sense, I'll from this point on always associated the style with being a fucking douchebag idiot who should go choke themselves with their stupid scarfs and ties.

the same argument could be said about why hate on anything...

The reason people hate hipsters is because they are sheep who think they are individuals but are still sheep. They all dress alike, act alike, and think because they dress differently then the populace that they are different, yet since all of the hipsters dress alike they are all the same.
