The first Matrix movie came out in 1999.

So pretty much these reviews didn't make it before the site offed itself? What was the site you worked for if you don't mind me asking?

And the last one in 2004
Thus 8 years

I would say that it's a range between 8 and 13 years but I suppose we can at least agree that OP is late as fuck.

Because release date is always relative to quality.

You're basically saying that an opinion is only as valuable as the topic is new, rather than an opinion being valuable by the logic or insight it conveys. That's the most arbitrary reason I can think of to disregard an opinion.
if you do reviews next time, why don't you do something more esoteric, or more contemporary?
Implying that the Matrix isn't, at least intended as such, esoteric? Additionally, what integrity could I possibly have as a critic if I restrict my scope of expression of opinion over a range that is not of my choosing or preference? Because by that point the opinions I'm expressing aren't sincere and the profession in question is without merit.
that way, you'd have a place on the web, and your opinion (might) be valued
I guess this logic also applies to the likes of the Nostalgia Critic and AVGN who found financial substantiality as critics because they ripped on famous and old material.
The Matrix: Decent
Animatrix: Decent
Reloaded: SHIT
Revolutions: STINKY SHIT
My power is the only power.

I dunno, Animatrix can't really be viewed in a broad sense, it's a series of non correlating yet still canon segments. I mean, Program and World Record are good segments but The Second Renaissance is deplorably stupid.

No. I just didn't figure people would denigrate the quality of the reviews based around the arbitrary premise that "old things are bad", especially considering the number of people who make a living based around reviewing old, and in many cases decades old, content.
