Although I've never stepped inside a mens changing room (much to my regret), I doubt that there is any real difference in the layout. My gym changing room certainly has no glamour, even after its recent redecoration (along with the mens). I'm pretty sure the only actual difference is probably the placement of hairdryers and sanitary product machines in the womens, and also not smelling of balls.
