This quickly?
For a movie that was so pre hyped it didnt last nearly as long in theatres as the other two batman movies
what gives? was this due to the holmes incident?

They had to cut back big time on there marketing efforts after the Aurora shooting, so I assume so.

Probably because it wasn't that good. Half the time Batman (not Bruce Wayne) wasn't even in the movie, and the times he was, he got his ass kicked. Bane didn't even look like Bane (he sounded Russian, not Mexican, and he looked nothing like he did in the comics/animated series).
Maybe to alot of other people it was good, but I was highly disappointed.

OP lives in Middle of Nowhere, USA where they stop showing any movie after 6 weeks, regardless.

Again What are you talking about? It's still in fucking theaters. This is one of six in my area still showing it. I was in Des Moines last week and I saw it playing in three theaters over there. Get your shit straight next time before you speak.
I can tell you're not a fan.

If this is seriously what depresses you I am envious of how otherwise perfect your life must be.

So am I. I'm only talking about AMC theaters. Maybe you should read your own thread and click on the links, and you would know that.

No, it's just that the area you live in is remote so they will stop I mean, with smaller population the people would have already seen it.
It's still in the threaters, just not in where you live.

Usually when movies don't last long in theaters, it's because sales were bad and the process to save money on the film begins. By taking the movie out of theaters, they begin the process to dvd to try and gain some profit on the film that was lost.
Either the film did bad or it could be because of the shooting. But I thought the movie wasn't good and I've only heard disappointed opinions over it.

The movie just raked in another over six million from the last weekend.
It's still in theaters, just not at where the OP lives and judging by his latest post, he's pissy about it.

It would be in OPs best interests to just shut up right now. He's making a dick out of himself.

Maybe Ukrainian then? Lol. I actually got the Russian-sounding idea from a friend.
I dunno. He just didn't sound Mexican to me. Maybe I'm just prejudiced against the movie because I was always a big fan of Batman: TAS and the actual DC comics and Bane was alot cooler in both.
Really the only thing I liked about Bane was the "I will BREAK you" line he said in the movie, and the fact that he actually did it.

I heard Russian and Ukrainian and he sounded like neither of those. He sounds like Sean Connery.

In the movie he lived almost all his life in the pit (that was in Africa if I recall correctly) so it wouldn't make sense that he had a mexican accent. And about the looks, neither Ra's, The Scarecrow or The Joker look like they did in the comics.

I preferred a smart Bane to a dumbass taking a some kind of uknown substance and following Ivy's orders. He didn't look like Bane in the comics but that was good too.His accent is from a bare-knuckle boxer according to this article. I was satisfied from the movie.I found it better than the dark knight. I liked the fact it didn't focus to Batman only but the man behind the mask too.The movie didn't do bad.And the Holmes incident "lasted" one or two weeks. Then it was forgotten.
All in all,the film was great IMO and I don't think it did bad at the selling.

My only real beef about the Batman movie is that Bane sounded a hell of a lot like Snowman.
Or should I say, Schnomann?

The sooner it leaves theaters, the sooner I can rent it on DVD.
