just assume the camera and rope are from another dimension and do not apply to our rules of gravity

Black holes consume everything near it. That is impossible.

A bigger problem would be finding funding to do something so fucking stupid.
I'll get back to you, once I launch this toaster into space.
First, you have to prove black holes exist.
This is my signature. It is a nice signature.

My power is the only power.
Anything that goes into a blackhole is crused to a minute size, the camera isn't going to survive that trip.
Not to mention the other theories of blackholes which would further fuck with anything that gets near.
When this post hits 88 mph, you're going to see some serious friendship.

Some cool shit about black holes.
Black holes are full of trapped light.
I mean if you feel like wasting a camera, rope, and the billion jigawatt flashlight you'd need to attach to the camera so that it can be crushed and lost forever, by all means, go ahead.

This. We only know about black holes because of the gravity they create, and even then its just a guess.

The gravity they create, the background radiation of all galaxies, the distortion of space around certain objects that ALSO happen to have stars orbiting them at incredibly high rates.....
It's almost a fact that black holes exist, the only thing keeping us from getting to say that it's a fact they exist is simply because we haven't flown right up to one

I'm trying to launch a toaster into space. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?
The camera would be destroyed as people have said.
But this is a hypothetical observer. I think if the camera was facing outward it would see infalling light, but because of massive time dilation it would possibly see the entire future of the universe unfold before it, with lots of distortion.
Yes, I know the REAL answer to my question. What I'm asking for is a creative answer.
Will we see a whole new world made up of different, alien matter? Maybe it's a wormhole.
C'mon, have fun with it

Oh.
Will we see a whole new world made up of different, alien matter? Maybe it's a wormhole.
Nope.
C'mon, have fun with it
Fail.
Did you assholes all miss these two lines?

Of course those things aren't possible; it's just a hypothetical scenario. Pointing out how it won't work when everyone (including the OP) already knows that doesn't make you look smart.
It would probably not see anything because it will be pitch black
The real answer is that the electromagnetic waves that would give me the information would never reach the camera. I already knew that.
But what is on the other side of a black hole? Hypothetically. Is it a portal to hell? Will it be an upside down universe like our own? Maybe it's a wound in time and space that is seeping, allowing me to enter and see the cosmic web or something.
^ Anything I just stated would have been a better response than what you guys have given me ^

OP obviously docent know what a blackhole is then. There is no "other side" just a center of infinite mass and density,

So the answer to OPs question is eyes?
I can't get the toaster into space. Anybody know how to turn it into a time machine?
I am sad at how many people ignored his obvious statement of how he knows it cant work. and wanted a "what if" anyways response.

We might see ponies and butterfly feces for all we know.
But seriously, the concept of a black hole is that there's nothing, absolutely NOTHING in it, so even if we somehow saw inside of it, it would be pretty boring.

I have a lot of IMAGINATION.
I am hilarious and you will quote everything I say.

Black holes can act like one-way worm holes, so if you ever got a camera that survived the trip, you'd have to go find it which might mean millions of light years away or, quite possible, a parallel universe where the laws of physics are very different, meaning the camera might not even work there.

I think a better question is who is gonna be taking the pictures? A camera cant take its own pictures
