Looking for Musician & Vocalist

I'm a lyricist and I'm in need of a musician and a vocalist.

I'd prefer that my musician and vocalist be two separate people. I'd also prefer a female vocalist, but I'm not completely opposed to a male vocalist - as long as you have a warm voice with a strong range.

I suppose some details would be helpful, wouldn't they?

Style: Something much (not exactly) like Blur, Garbage, and Radiohead.

Instruments: I'm a lover of most instruments, but I'd like to definitely see electric/bass guitar, drums, and piano involved. If you have additional instruments you can add that will help create a unique sound, I'm listening.

Vocalist: A powerful voice that can move mountains and still be soothing enough to lull a babe.

Any other questions on details, just ask.

What will this be used for?

What kind of license will this require?

Will you be making profit?

More than a list of commercial bands, how do you want the song to sound?

Who is this for? Myself. I'm just interested in doing collaboration. Eventually, if we mesh well, I'm interested in taking it to the next level - moving forward.

What will this be used for? General entertainment value for now. I would like to build a relationship with my musician and vocalist, then go forward with them.

What kind of license will this require? No license. We won't be using copyrighted material. Ever.

Will you be making profit? Not right now. Eventually, yes.

Will it be for public use? Yes and no. We'll share what we have and it will be free for use until we come to an agreement on what exactly we would like to do together and what level we plan to escalate to.

Will the musician(s) be credited? Of course. There's no way I'd ask someone to do all that work and then not credit them. It just wouldn't be cool.

More than a list of commercial bands, how do you want the song to sound? Maybe like an electronic, alternative, indie rock? I'm sorry, I'm terrible with that question.

Im interested in a collab, i think it would be amazing to work with other people than the ones i have here!
I have been making music with DAW's and VSTi's for some years now:
I have medium musical knowledge adquired over the years;
Iv been playing the electric guitar for about 2 years and a half;
I sing as one of the vocalist in an amateur band since 2011 (not my favorite thing to do on a collab);

So if you want any of those im willing to do it, specially the Guitar or VSTi part :D

I know you said that you'd prefer a female vocalist, but I would be interested in giving this a shot if you'd be willing to have me.

My range is about an F2-G4 in chest, extending up to an E5 in falsetto. Just to give you a basic idea of my vocal limits. I can push a little lower or a little higher if need be, but outside of the notes I listed, results will likely vary.

How will you be holding auditions for this? Should I just put together a track of me singing and send it off to you, or would you rather talk in person on Skype or something first?

I'll admit it. I'm surprised anybody actually decided to go for this. Usually whenever a musician is on a quest for a vocalist on these forums, they get nowhere. Good luck, OP!

I'll admit I'm surprised, too. I know how hard it is to get vocalist responses, but I'm very appreciative.

I play bass. How complicated is the bassline that you had in mind?

It will depend on your skill level, if you are able to come up with your own bass line you have full liberty to try it, if not ill write a bassline for you to play.
