If you made a game for Ludum Dare 24 this weekend and upload it on NG, be sure to tag it with "ludumdare24" so it can compete for rank in our Ludum Dare 24 collection!

Want to build an on-line multiplayer game with micro-transactions using Player.IO and have a chance to win up to $30k? The Epic Flash Game Contest features $150,000 in prizes and would be a great opportunity for any devs who want to step up their game.

Entries will be submitted right here on Newgrounds and I'm one of the judges! In addition to the cash, winners will get an NG t-shirt and some front page love.

A much bigger, built-from-scratch console version is now available on PSN and is coming to Steam on September 7th! The PSN version is what has been nominated for a Golden Joystiq.

To bring everything in those post full-circle, Tyler Glaiel (Closure developer) won the previous Ludum Dare.

Would a musician be able to get in on the action of this contest,seeing as how (most) games need music?

Cinematic,Chamber Ensembles,Orchestra,Jazz,Marching.

I thoroughly enjoyed Closure. Also liked the background you guys had up for it.
And good luck to anyone competing in LD24 and the other game contest.

Also. Do you have any idea as to when Dust will be available on psn?

Sounds cool, I really don't have a clue where to start when I comes to making an multiplayer game in flash nor could I afford to give it a reliable server.

You don't need to provide a server - that is taken care of for you through Player.IO

You would just need to find a team to work with and set clear percentages on how you would split the earnings.

It's a real easy to use multiplayer API. I think it'd be worth figuring out because the prize money would be insignificant compared to the revenue the game itself might generate if it was good enough to win. Especially with the top prizes giving you front page time on several big sites.

In all seriousness, I think this'll be worth checking out. At lest it'll give me an excuse to get off my arse and finish the flash-to-PHP API i've been working on. Damn encryption is the only thing keeping me from finishing it :/
