Can mods ban other mods? Aug. 25th, 2012 @ 08:42 PM Reply

I'm asking because the person that started bumping Justin Bieber threads stopped posting abruptly which probably means he was banned but Zachary is still doing it and he is a mod.

They can, but they won't. It will cause a domino effect of mod bans.

From what I understand moderators are unable to ban each other as such a thing would lead to too many complications. If a moderator is to abuse their power, they would just be stripped of their power and then banned for a certain time.

Zachary was helping the mods by posting in the bumped topics so the mods could delete his posts to hide the topic.

None forum moderators can be banned by forum moderators, forum moderators don't ban each other, though that is mostly because they enjoy their orgies and don't want to do anything to ruin them.

That seems reasonable.

So is that a 'yes' or a 'no' to OP's question Wade?

No, they can't.

The preceding post was probably made when I was wasted. Only a fool would think of it as fact.

After looking through Zachary's posts it's hard to imagine how he became a mod in the first place...

These kind of things are in the "unwritten rules" of the mods... it's just etiquette for us to not do so.
