I really hate how the United States makes such a big fucking deal over 9/11. It's been over 10 years and they're still crying about it.
Oh no, we were attacked. Boo hoo. Almost every country has been attacked at one point or another and the United States is the only one who is always playing victim.
"I swear guys, it's cause we're a free country, we totally did absolutely nothing at all to anger the people in the middle east never ever ever."
I'm not saying you deserved 9/11, but it's not as if you literally did NOTHING TO THEM which is what some people in the United States believe.
yeah, u.s. foreign policy is pretty much responsible for the 9/11 attacks
interventionism is a bitch
Not as bad as Pearl Harbour though. "Japan is so evil, they killed a couple thousand people in the US military. Let's kill 200,000 civilians, that'll show em!"
to be fair those deaths were possibly unavoidable
collateral damage like that happens in just about every war. the u.s. dropped atom bombs on japan to force a surrender. a coventional military invasion might've been even bloodier with more casualties on both sides
as fucked up as this sounds, the dropping of those atom bombs might've been the most humane thing to do
As if the United States has never unjustifiably killed civilians. 9/11 is nothing compared to what the United States did to Japan. And yet the citizens still think Japan (the country that got over it and are now 'friends' with the United States) are some evil vermin who deserve to have nuclear melt downs and tsunamis and earthquakes.
Obviously I'm not speaking for the entirety of the country but whenever I see stuff that involves whining about 9/11, I rage a bit.
i don't rage but i do find it slightly amusing because it seems to indicate some sense of entitlement
"OMG WE WERE ATTACKED 11 YEARS AGO BY A BUNCH OF TERRORISTS"
"LET US NEVER EVER FORGET THIS TRAGEDY EVER EVER EVER THIS IS THE WORST THING TO HAVE HAPPENED EVER WE WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS"
"honoring" the anniversary of 9/11 every year isn't going to help us get over the tragedy
