Interplay basically dug out a corpse.. it's like the article says, nobody from old Black Isle is probably even in there. Interplay just decided to use the name again in an effort not-to-die for another day.

In a sense Van Buren came out since old Black Isle workers who joined Bethesda made sure the location was put into Fallout: New Vegas and other stuff that I can't recall.

Considering that none of the original Black Isle Studios people are there, Fallout is best to stick with Obsidian who actually have members who worked on the original Fallouts.

Considering most black isle originals went over to bethesda and made Obsidian I doubt any originals will be going back to interplay so it'll probably just be new people who like article says will have some very big shoes to fill.

For real. Those games were my favorites on the PS2 and it sucked that they ended the series on a fucking cliffhanger and then went out.

I'm more surprised that Interplay still exists. I thought they only had like 10 employees. Last I checked, their only source of income was them licencing their IPs to other developers.

I was personally hoping they would finish up Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance with a 3rd game only to realize it never happen, if it's true that Black Isle is back, I'm hoping for a possibility that such is a allowed to take place.

If anything else that should be done I also think they should re-release Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, it's sequel and the 3rd game for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
