Good way to generate ideas is to limit your search for subject matter. When you have too much freedom, its hard to settle on something.

Just pick a topic and smack it around and brainstorm ideas with it.

I think it's a fine idea. I purposely invite my plumber over (Tommy Vitorelli) and then inject my hedgehog with steroids to see what happens.
