3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsDemonoid was the greatest torrent website on the internet. It was my personal go-to for over five years. No games, software, movies, music, or shows were too obscure for this tremendous pirate nexus. Over the course of the past two weeks, Demonoid has been effectively DDOS'd and disbanded by the efforts of the Ukranian government. Since then, the domains have been put on sale and delisted for legal reasons. It appears that Demonoid will not be returning and with it, a plethora of great digital content is lost amongst the annals of vast cyberspace. Where will I pirate my miscellaneous shit now? Rest in peace, you magnificent goddess.
p.s no seriously where will i pirate stuff now pm @ giantdouche please no illegal discussion

on the good side usually good torrent sites spring up after big ones topple. there is literally no way to combat piracy without infringing on individual rights or the nature of the internet.

well besides charging reasonable prices for goods and making them easily accessible but for the ethically devoid such as myself this offers little asylum
Hello random band, I heard a couple of your songs on the radio and they interested me. I'd like to listen to your album for free. If I like it, expect to see me spending money to see you at a concert or if I really like you, lots of concerts to come. And I'll be buying your merch as well!
Those who are true to themselves will WANT to share their music with as many as possible. Then you have the greedy ones who care about nothing but money anymore.

You still have to work real hard just to acquire all the free stuff found in this world (food, water, shelter, firewood, etc.)
i torrent everything from private trackers so this doesn't bother me at all fuck public trackers anyway

Go use one of the mirrors for the Pirate Bay, and don't give me any excuses about magnet links.

Demonoid was a private tracker. It was probably the most public private tracker on the web, but private nonetheless.
Anyway, this is actually very upsetting to me, Demonoid was my go-to for just about everything except music for years now, and it was a good community all around. Rest in peace, old friend.
if it is a gigantic horrible typo mah bad
Will have to wait for a clone website to replace it.

The great thing about the internet is, website like Demonoid have a funny way of coming back.
Only time will tell.

this is pretty accurate. i've pirated some bands' entire discographies and shell out good money to see them in concert or buy their future albums on vinyl if i really like them. while i don't buy the vast majority of my music, i definitely contribute a good amount of money towards seeing live music. also most of the money from album sales goes to people who had nothing to do with the music being made.

demonoid was a private tracker in that if you didn't get invited and have an account the number of downloads you had in a week were capped. i'd use what.cd but my ratio on there is dismal.
I noticed yesterday that it was gone. It sucks, it was the only torrent site I liked. ]:
I AM THREAD KILLER!
The name rings a bell to me but I can't recall any memory of being on it.
