You could say that they've been holding out for the next gen consoles that are to be approaching, but it's a long tease with little to no information.

Valve are known for hinting stuff way before they confirm what ever they've been leaking.
Just take Mann vs Machine as an example. That has been hinted for over 2 years now.
But seriously, I asked for the source where Madcatz said it was fake. The kotaku link didn't have any word from Madcatz.
