What is your philosophy on life, NG?
In other words, what do you live for? What is the point of life?
A big part of me is an altruist personally. I have plenty of other beliefs too but I don't think it's necessary to go on and on about myself when we could just get on with the discussion already.
So what's your philosophy on life, NG?
If you don't know the technical term just write down what you believe in in plain English.
basically i don't think there's any value in life

I don't follow 100% of both, and the chunks that I do follow don't conflict
What chunk of buddhism do you follow?

Most of the basic teachings of buddha, nothing is lost in the universe, everything changes, the laws of cause and affect (Karma), the four truths...
Pretty much everything except for no violence and sexual deviancy and such, I'm not even sure what they're called

I'm not overly depressing as shit.
if you're talking about existential nihilism, which means that life has no objective value, then implying that believing in that brand of philosophy makes the believer depressing is fucking stupid
i don't believe life has any value but i don't live my life in a substantially different manner than most people do. in fact i only subscribe to existential nihilism because there's no evidence that life has any meaning
admittedly i'm not all smiles and sunshine 24/7, but i'm not known to be uber-depressed and i'm fairly certain most people who share my philosophy can say the same
The point of my life is in my opinion why nature/god has made us, to search for answers to questions, any kind, and every possible question needs to be answered at least once.
And of course humanism.
There might be more for me but I can't think of more right now.
I am evil.
"No second chances. I'm that sort of a man."
some sort of existentialism maybe
maybe even humanism but don't tell the fellas that or they might not like me and think i'm gay cause morals are for the weak u know ;)
I take little pieces of everything with Fallibilism in the core. I don't believe life has a purpose, but I do believe a purpose can be made. I believe all of this exists and we are not just a brain in a vat. I believe in absolute good and evil whether you agree or not. I believe humans are the superior beings on Earth, but there are higher beings elsewhere (maybe not even the universe). I don't believe in an eternal soul, but I do believe in a spirit.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis...
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
Personally I don't really believe there is any meaning to life, but that doesn't mean there isn't any value to life.
You have to make your own meaning. For me, life is simply meant to be enjoyed.
We live and we die, make peace with it, and enjoy it while you can, because in the end nothing really matters.
I follow Confucianism.
Funny how all the good philosophies and religions end with ism's.
We're born, we die, we rot.
So you might as well get enough to eat while you're alive.
