For the past 8-9 days I have been experiencing a terrible pain in my mouth, it started with a fever one night, where I was having diarrhea and also throwing up a bit. The next morning, I woke up and my gums were all cut open in the back of my mouth, the pain was the most intense feeling ever.
I shrugged it off at first, but did some Google searches on the matter, it appeared that my tonsils were swelling as well, so I looked up the relevance between bloody/cut gums and swollen tonsils, it turned out that the possibility of the issue being an infected wisdom tooth was very likely.
Two days passed, and it was beginning to happen on the right hand side of my mouth as well now, so both sides of my mouth were in intense pain. I was out of town in Saskatoon all this time visiting my girlfriend for the summer, and decided maybe I should take the bus back to Regina and book an appointment with the dentist.
That appointment was today, I had to be there at 11:00AM, and was a few minutes early. I ended up leaving the dental clinic at 11:10AM, it took literally ten minutes to pull my teeth out.
Now, my mouth is a bloody mess, I have to bite gauze and try my best to stop the bleeding. It was honestly a pretty frightening experience, I hate the dentist as it is, and having to get two teeth removed was just awful. Thankfully though they have to drug you up so your mouth is numbed / frozen. Thirty minutes later it still is, hopefully that goes away soon.
Anyway, I strongly advise everybody gets their wisdom teeth pulled if they are painful for them, because the pain I feel right now is nothing compared to how awful it was when they were acting up. It will definitely be worth it, and now I have an excuse for being lazy all day and just sitting around, doing nothing!
