You know you could always change the MP3 in your previous submission.......
Now that would just be far too convenient for everyone involved ;)

It IS meant to be! I mean, seriously? People don't even need to look far, the link to the submission is there, original or new. Posting it twice would make us wonder whether they're converting this to the Audio Advertisement Thread!

Struggling with the 3-4 minute time limit here, with only 2 weeks remaining, so if anyone else wants to represent the USA, I'll willingly withdraw from the RAC.

I know, I know - 'twas just a joke, poking a bit of fun at adilovemetal :)

-

As a hopefully novel bonus addition to my submission, I got my dad to do a live recording of the polska in my track. Kinda expected him to play it with double stops and open strings in the usual folk style, but apparently he played it exactly as notated just because I'm more of a classical musician myself. That's what I get for just leaving the sheet music on the kitchen table and asking him to record it I guess!

By the way, is there any way to post unbroken links in track descriptions?

I'm just waiting on a reply from Brokendeck through pm... if you want you could even collaborate with Brokendeck if you want and try to work on his track with him and you both could help each other out! :D

If USA doesn't reach someone's claim, then I want it. Otherwise, I won't be playing a role in this contest.

I need nimblekid to confirm whether or not he wants to take United States. If he doesn't decided to take it you can have it! :)

Almost everybody seems to be forgetting their "research links"; can I just confirm that they are part of your overall score?

Isnt the "research link" thing very waig? I mean I hardly did any research :| I merely picked up a riff, and went along with it, thought about acts like Children of Bodom (finland) and other metal acts, and I thought it would be great to incorporate metal as it is very prevalent there..... Honestly what is the whole idea of a research link :\

Research links show how much you are identifying your piece with the country you assigned yourself to. The whole point of the RAC is not for generic-sounding pieces, it's for standing out as a country.

They help back up reasons why your entry represents your country... it's just something that helps you to achieve higher scores and get your image across. It's more of a helping thing than something your entire score is bases on!
