I figured it'd be a fun departure from my usual repertoire. Plus, it'll give me a chance to do what I always want to do, take traditional genres and make them popular. :)

If you're talking about the entries on the first page of the thread, they were the winners in last year's RAC.

Where do we account for our influences and research? In the track description? Also, are youtube and spotify links allowed? :) Aaaand finally one annoying question - can I upload the track with a brief description now and expand on it later?

In your research, you can edit it as much as you want and that also includes the track itself, everything will not be checked and marked until the deadline, you could publish your track and use your promotion period to improve on your entry before the judges mark it! If people PM me for advice I'm always more than happy to give it! :)
