I wanted to get into 3-D art but every tutorial I watch is like "learn all the controls and such now". I eventually got the hang of it but still have trouble and wanted to know if any of you guys know of any good tutorials for Blender for like modeling a character, sword, etc. I'm not looking for game or animation tutorials unless they are included in one of the tutorials I want that I listed.
Wow, really glad you're interested in Blender, it's a fantastic piece of free software.
There are some tutorials right off of Blender's website, although these aren't done by them, usually by other people. HERE
If you can't find what you're looking for there, try these websites, they are fantastic!
Hope this helps, the world of 3D modelling and animation can be daunting at first, so don't give up!
blenderguru and blendercookie have bee mentioned but there is also www.blendernerd.com , www.blenderdiplom.com , http://cg.tutsplus.com/category/tutorials/blender/ and keep an eye out on blendernation lots of tutorials are publised there here are the existing ones http://www.blendernation.com/category/education/tutorials/
