What is the longest song that you have heard?
For me it would be Balance is Restored (Final Fantasy VI) which is 21 minutes and 35 seconds long. The longest non-game song I have heard is Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) which is 8 minutes and 2 seconds long.

There is actually a longer version which is 10:08 long. The 9 minute version in the version that is in the album.
I would have included Free Bird if I would have heard the full version. I have heard that song, but the version that I heard is the version in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas which is around 4 or 5 minutes long.

Well Lynard Skynyrd is southern and he was a teacher, as in education, so of course not.
The longest song I have heard is Garden of Dreams by The Flower Kings runs just under an hour, at 59:24. They have a song than runs just over an hour but I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head and I'm not going hunting. Also as Haggard put Autobahn by Kraftwerk at 22:46 and basically anything by Tangerine Dream. All their songs are huge.
FYI. The longest song ever recorded is called Longplayer and is still being recorded at this moment. It has been recording for 12 years 215 days plus change already and is not due to stop recording until 2999. You can find it here.

Apparently the longest song on my itunes is the live version of Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin which clocks in at 25:25 minutes, otherwise it would be Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd at 23:46.

I think the longest song I have in my collection is the Great Barrier Reefer by Bongripper, which is 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 35 seconds.
The second longest is most likely Dopesmoker by Sleep, which is 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 7 seconds.
I believe the third longest I have is Absolutego by Boris, which is 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 35 seconds.
The fourth longest would probably be Thaumogenesis by Nadja, which is 1 hour, 1 minute, and 43 seconds.
I think the fifth longest is Monolithe I by Monolithe, which is 51 minutes and 58 seconds.
er...I misread Dopesmoker. 3 minutes, not 13. So, that would be my fourth longest song.

No, but that was the point I was trying to make to MikeyS9607. I don't believe for one minute that he listened to a 24 hour long song! If you're going to requote me, at least use my quotes in the context which they were intended. And obviously I haven't been listening to a song for near on 13 years. I already posted above my list of long songs listened to.

Okay I wont bug you about it anymore. I just wanted to make a point that it would be damn near impossible to sit and listen to a song thats that long. Although a 24 hour long song DOES sound manageable though. That is if you're bored enough and if you have nothing that needs to be done for an entire day.
