(WARNING: This is my damn opinion. I know a shitload of you are going to come in telling me, "You don't understand art" or "You're too stupid to get those games.")
Am I the only one that hates how sometimes, half the games on the front pages are these emotional, artistic crap that shouldn't even qualify for a game? I mean, really. I just want to go through a fun adventure with the occassional challenge, but it seems like most of the games that get on the front page just have you hold down the right arrow for 10 minutes straight while white words appear saying "Life sucks, no one likes you."
Honestly, if you're just going to do that, make it into a movie. Don't make me click on your game actually expecting it to have me doing something, only to have the same backround repeat itself for 5 minutes while just warping the colors, having sad music, and making your emo shithead of a character want to kill himself.
Look at Madness: Nexus, Interactive Buddy, The Last Stand, Road of the Dead, Spewer, etc... Most of these games have taken loads of work, and they pay off by being extremely fun, cool and innovative. Any dumbass that knows the basics of flash can make a repeating backround while spewing out how "Nothing's worth living and art is the only good thing out there." Yet somehow, people seem to get these high enough votes to get the staff to put them on the front page.
However, this is just my opinion. Feel free to agree, disagree, or do whatever you want.
